It’s a wrap 💪🏿

A BIG THANK YOU to all our partners and everyone who participated in our third edition of #JourneyofWater campaign for River Kibos. You not only showed up for the challenging, thrilling and educative 23 km walk but also shared your ideas, solutions and made commitments to conserve the basin.

On Day 3, our path led us to the river's mouth at Lake Victoria's Dunga Beach, followed by a procession through Kisumu City. We then concluded with a stakeholder conference that provided a platform for exchanging ideas and pledging support to conserve the #RiverKibos basin and use the lessons to conserve other rivers in the counties.

The commitments to mobilize resources, strengthen institutions and policies, implement nature-based solutions to promote sustainable alternative livelihoods by the National Government, County Governments of @KisumuCountyKE, @VihigaCountyGov and @Nandi029, the private sector, civil society organizations, youth groups and faith-based organizations are encouraging and a step in the right direction.

Let us now walk the talk, mito yetu, jukumu letu!
