🚨 @zkLend Exploited for $9.5M—Here’s What You Need to Know! 🚨

@zkLend , a top lending protocol on @Starknet , was hit by an exploit leading to a $9.5M loss (3,300 ETH). But the team is already taking action!
Here’s the full story, what’s at stake, and what’s next. 👇

1️⃣ What Happened?
A critical flaw in zkLend’s safeMath library caused a rounding-down issue during withdrawals, allowing an attacker to take more than they deposited.

2️⃣ Immediate Response 🔥
• Withdrawals were halted to stop further losses.
• Security teams @SlowMist_Team jumped in for a deep investigation.
• @StarkWareLtd flagged the attack and started working with zkLend.

3️⃣ Important Clarification! 🚨
This was NOT a @Starknet exploit—it was a contract-level issue in zkLend.
Starknet’s core remains secure.

4️⃣ zkLend’s Move: A Whitehat Bounty 🎯
• The hacker is offered 10% (~$900K) as a bounty.
• If they return 3,300 ETH by Feb 14 (00:00 UTC), no legal action will be taken.
• The team is working with @StarkWareLtd , @StarknetFndn , @Binance Security team , @zeroshadow_io and @HypernativeLabs to track the funds.

5️⃣ Who’s Affected?
• @strkfarm strategies (STRK, USDC, ETH) → Withdrawals paused until zkLend resumes.
• xSTRK Sensei remains fully operational.
• @nostrafinance & @vesuxyz are unaffected.

6️⃣ What’s Next?
🔹 A post-mortem report will be published.
🔹 Security upgrades to prevent future attacks.
🔹 Law enforcement & on-chain tracking in full force.

7️⃣ The Bigger Picture 🌎
DeFi security is a challenge, but @zkLend is handling this with full transparency.
