@KirtonMcBonky Yes boo Utah and Mormons. I for one plan on moving out of the state posthaste, and I highly encourage, nay, plead for everyone (else) to leave.
@_consistent_man I haven't seen anyone provide an argument for why he still claims to be LDS if he isn't actually LDS.
Is he grifting? Most members actively dislike what he says about the Bible...
Is he infiltrating the church with leftist ideology?
Really?
I don't see what benefit he gets.
@maklelan I wonder if part of the problem is that "false prophet" entails vastly more devastating consequences for a Christian.
I would imagine scholarship has no proof positive of a true prophet in the way a religious person would like.
@SnapThatGinger@JesusSaves1500 A wet sidewalk is absolutely necessary for a rainstorm. If I walk outside and there is no wet sidewalk, can I safely say there's no rainstorm? (obviously excluding cases like a roof blocking the rain)
Look up the logical rule of inference called modus tollens
@JesusSaves1500 I don't feel like you've actually responded.
If salvation leads to good works, then good works are necessary for salvation. Because someone not doing good works surely can't be a saved person.
That is not equivalent to saying works save you, only that they are necessary.
@Salt_n_Smoke And what standard are suspecting they used? You think they had a religious experience that convinced them to be atheists?
You haven't actually argued that your standard is superior
@Salt_n_Smoke Yes, but they find the evidence that he was resurrected to be insufficient.
So I don't agree that an evidentiary standard is a superior method for choosing which religion to practice, because that standard produces Christians turned atheists.
@Salt_n_Smoke Lol, if there was actually sufficiently reliable evidence then every atheist would be a Christian.
I suppose the demons are tricking them too?
