WHERE IS THE HIDDEN HAND IN NIGERIA, WHERE CHRISTIANS CONTINUE TO BE KILLED?

The persistent violence and killings of Christians and other innocent civilians in Nigeria demand serious international scrutiny.

The world cannot continue to look away while innocent people are killed and communities are destroyed.

There are legitimate questions about the influence of powerful political, diplomatic and business networks surrounding Nigeria’s leadership and its international partners.

Massad Boulos, a senior U.S. official involved in Middle East and African affairs and the father-in-law of President Donald Trump’s daughter, Tiffany Trump, has developed significant relationships across the region. At the same time,

Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has close relationships with influential political and business figures.

This raises an important question:

Are powerful international and business interests influencing how the United States and other Western governments respond to the continuing crisis in Nigeria?

If such influence exists, the public deserves transparency.

I am not making an accusation against any individual. I am calling for independent investigation, transparency and accountability.

The lives of Nigerian Christians,and all innocent Nigerians,must matter. The international community must not remain silent when civilians are killed, regardless of their religion or political affiliation.

Nigeria deserves justice. Nigeria deserves peace. And the truth must be established.

This administrative acknowledgement follows the formal transmission of the EU NOTIFICATION OF FUNCTIONAL FULFILLMENT, which formally notified European institutions of the achievement of "Functional Fulfilment" in relation to Biafran sovereignty.

The correspondence to European institutions outlines the position that the criteria described in European discussions regarding legal and democratic procedures have been functionally fulfilled and provides supporting instruments for that position.

MY INTERNATIONAL LEGAL INTERVENTION ON THE CASES OF NNAMDI KANU AND SIMON EKPA

My good international legal intervention in both the Finnish and Nigerian cases involving Nnamdi Kanu and Simon Ekpa is to put one fundamental question to President Alexander Stubb of Finland and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria:

If a former Attorney-General of Nigeria, Abubakar Malami, who was involved in the Nigerian Government’s counter-terrorism policy and the prosecution of terrorism-related cases, was himself later accused of offences relating to terrorism financing or failure to prosecute suspected financiers, then this raises legitimate questions about consistency, accountability, equal application of the law and the principles of justice.

How can the same laws be applied to individuals in such circumstances, particularly when one person, Nnamdi Kanu, was brought to Nigeria under highly controversial circumstances, while another, Simon Ekpa, was arrested and prosecuted in Finland?

My intervention is not to prejudge the guilt or innocence of anyone. It is to ask whether international law, due process, fairness and equal justice are being applied consistently to all persons, regardless of their political status or the government involved.

Justice must be blind. The law must be applied equally.
