I really wish Apple had shown up with something different. And I don't mean product.
John Ternus didn't take the opportunity to introduce himself to the world.
John may be a very different CEO than Tim, but today he didn't show that. He stayed in the lane Tim built. And it left us wondering...
I urge John to bring back live events. I urge a less-scripted, less-curated Apple.
I'm tired of the fashion consultants dressing up the presenters. Some ripped jeans, a T-shirt and a pair of Vans would be refreshing.
Apple feels like a Better Homes & Gardens house where everything is just too perfectly in place.
We need some mess.
We need a presentation to fail. An unexpected moment. Maybe even something funny. Something that reminds us there are humans inside this company.
It all feels wrapped up in a COVID-style mask in an era where we are so over that.
@johnternus, breath freely again.
Do you think Thomas Edison haters existed in the 1800s? People just refused to acknowledge the existence of light bulbs and just lit candles?
Thats what Elon Musk haters look like to me. They would rather drive something outdated than embrace the future.
Do legacy media outlets typically use headlines involving the make of a car in a crash or is that only for Tesla?
It would be one thing if the self-driving malfunctioned but the crash was purely human-induced.
Seems like these outlets want to associate Tesla with crashes as part of a narrative and overall political agenda.
I am tired of hearing about Minnesota.
It’s a terrible state with a clueless old man for a governor. Sell it to Canada for a nickel and be done with it.
