@MichaelHoetker@NatureCellBio So happy that this is finally out Michael! Such good work and feel very lucky to have been able to see this story develop from beginning to end! Wish you all the best out in Heidelberg!
Congratulations to Dr. Aaron Huebner (@Ahuebner) and Dr. Konrad Hochedlinger's team at @MassGeneralNews and @HarvardStemCell on their @NatureCellBio paper!
They developed a 2D culture system to study the gastric isthmus.

@NatureCellBio@KharchenkoLab Thanks for facilitating the publishing of our new study! Iโm really excited to see what questions researchers can answer with the culture system we developed!
@s_lefkopoulos @KharchenkoLab@NatureCellBio Thank you so much! It is so nice to see it in print. I am really looking forward to others using the culture system to answer new and exciting questions related to epithelial biology!
@GarciaLabMS Another suggestion which I thought was very productive was to have a casual lunch scheduled with the graduate students in the department. These are the types of people that the incoming PI will be recruiting and it also gives the students a bit of inspiration/excitement.
@ATJCagan Honestly Alex, this was the most exciting paper I have read this year. An absolutely beautiful approach to address basic, long-standing questions. Congrats to you and the other authors for putting together such an elegant story.
@OdedRechavi You would hope that ESPECIALLY after what all just went down that more tenure committees would be more concerned with the opinions of former and present trainees and less on the impact factors of the journals you published inโฆ
@oligopain Hearing the train tracks on the title track of transatlanticism on vinyl was when I first really appreciated the format. Just goosebumps throughout. The venn diagram of our vinyl collections has quite a bit of overlap!
@MadS100tist I have what is simply known in the lab as The Ligation Box. What appears to be an abcam shipment box is actually a magic vessel by which all cloning works. No one in lab is allowed to use MY ligation box as each scientist must find their own pair bond.
@tera_levin This is a great thread. I really appreciate you putting this together. Do you happen to know of google docs that are updated for TT jobs in other areas like developmental, molecular, or stem cell bio? This would help me out a ton! Thanks againโฆ
@JSheltzer The last mouse to consider is the NRG strain which is the most immunocompromised strain offered and what I have used in the past to xenograft human cells https://t.co/ybSAxqxMxY
