Have humans become so heartless that ripping a baby from the mother to live their life in captivity is ok? In a world where so much is happening and you feel helpless... This is where you can help. Be their voice!

๐ 50 YEARS IN CHAINS.
Raju spent five decades as a begging elephant in India.
Then rescuers came.
It took 45 minutes to cut away the shackles around his legs. As the chains fell, rescuers saw tears on his face.
50 years captive. 45 minutes to freedom.
There is still good.
Thanks to @PFCII and other animal welfare organisations for asking the right questions!
These are baby elephants and they just canโt be snatched away from their families and kept captive in temples!
A puppyโs death at the hands of neighbours, followed by a woman carrying its body, is deeply disturbing.
@TamilNaduPolice@Thenipolice@CMOTamilnadu must be sensitised to handle animal-cruelty complaints , Please register FIR & take strict action against culprits ๐
Bigger question is why elephants are in such demand all of a sudden in the temples of south India! Where is this drive coming from! Who benefits from elephants in temples?
Audience, temple authorities, BJP, Who???

THIS! Why such a sudden demand of elephants in temples of South India?Who is benefitting from it?
Search on these lines & one will easily realise how the transfers are ILLEGAL.

@the_hindu This is so important. Kudos to these organisations for taking this seriously. The act of keeping elephants in isolated captivity in temples is very distressing, morally bad as well as in this case, illegal too! Check the ownership documents of these baby elephants! Stop cruelty.
