The Nigerian government under Bola Tinubu (@officialABAT) is increasingly displaying the behavior of a single-party dictatorship consolidating power through fear and intimidation. Across #Nigeria, public figures and ordinary citizens who criticize the current government are suddenly being arrested, detained, or charged with corruption.

Two cases we are tracking raise serious concerns. Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, a controversial but respected Northern Nigerian statesman, was charged after publicly criticizing President Tinubu. Prominent businessman John Olatunde Ayeni has also reportedly faced legal pressure after criticizing the current government.

The common thread is becoming difficult to ignore: critics of the #Tinubu government are increasingly being targeted. We are also receiving disturbing reports that thousands of ordinary Nigerians with no public profile are being arrested, beaten, intimidated, or disappearing without international attention.

We will be briefing the @realDonaldTrump Administration and Congress on this troubling trend and urging close scrutiny of what many Nigerians now fear is the growing weaponization of state institutions to silence dissent ahead of the next presidential election.

Islam is not founded on race or ethnicity. Guidance is from Allah alone, not limited to Arabs or non-Arabs. The Prophet ﷺ explicitly stated: “There is no superiority (فضل) of an Arab over a non-Arab, nor a non-Arab over an Arab, except through taqwa (piety).”

Knowledge and truth are determined by evidence, not by a person's origin. Many of the most distinguished scholars of Islam were not Arabs, yet they served the religion with sincerity and profound understanding.

If advice is correct and based on the Qur’an and Sunnah, it should be accepted regardless of the speaker’s background. Rejecting the truth due to someone’s background contradicts the principles of Islam.

May Allah guide us all toward humility and the truth (الحق).

🇺🇸 MUSLIM PROFESSOR SHUTS DOWN CNN QUESTION ABOUT ISLAM AND VIOLENCE

CNN tried to press a Muslim professor with the classic “does Islam promote violence?” setup, but he flipped the whole narrative and left both hosts speechless.

He said Islam, like any religion, doesn’t promote peace or violence, it reflects what people bring into it. Violent people make violent religion. Peaceful people don’t.

Then he dropped facts: there are Buddhist monks in Myanmar killing women and kids. Christianity exists in countries where female genital mutilation is common. Religion’s not the root, humans are.

He went off on how it's ridiculous to blame all of Islam for Saudi Arabia’s laws, when Muslim-majority countries like Indonesia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, and Turkey give women rights and even elected female presidents.

If CNN was hoping for a yes or no answer, they got schooled instead.

Islam doesn't promote violence or peace.

It's just a religion and like every religion in the world, it depends on what you bring to it.
