@GaryMarcus Tesla sold ~0.2m cars in the US in 2020 while Toyota sold ~2.1m cars. Assuming ALL Teslas have ADAS and only 1/3 of Toyota’s do have ADAS and assuming a Tesla driver is twice as likely to engage ADAS, still more L2 miles for Toyota (& others)
Big changes for AI R&D at Meta!

Unlike VCs predicting doom, I’m bullish for early-stage startups. This downturn differs from 2000 & 2008 (see why below). If you’re an early-stage CEO, don’t panic. Don’t obsess about extending runway. Obsess about making something people want, and hire superstars to help. 1/n
We are looking for early stage researchers (yes, it means you Ph.D. students and postdocs) to act as respondents at our #RSS2022 workshop.
The role of respondents is to help with guiding the discussion and conducting a 30-min fireside chat with one of the speakers!
WAFR deadline is approaching! Check out the call for papers!
The contribution areas are now expanded to be more inclusive of all areas of foundations of robotics research #WAFR22
Benchmarks are important since they constrain the task, forcing you to improve the algorithm instead. That's why I'm more impressed by results on a benchmark than on a task the authors invented. The fact that the task existed before the algorithm makes the results more credible.
How are they going to "cooperate" with each other and "sympathize" with humans? If you are interested to know more, here is my talk at #IROS2021:

ROBOTS & HUMANS!!!
Now that I have your attention let me tell you how the pictures below relate to my line of work, #autonomousdriving !
What is going to happen when we put bunch of #selfdrivingcars on the streets and surround them with humans?
