The #news cycle moves FAST.
One week it's #hantavirus.
The next it's #Ebola.
Fear grabs HEADLINES. Understanding rarely DOES.
At @NWS_Network, we believe #journalism's job is not merely to tell readers what is trending, but to explain what is TRUE.
The headlines moved on from #hantavirus. The science didn't. Drawing on his experience with the @WHO, Professor @grbepi explains what the evidence actually shows.

Today is a proud moment for @NWS_Network.

His latest piece examines the rise of @itamarbengvir and the deeper transformation unfolding inside #Israeli society and #politics.
This is the kind of journalism #NWS wants to pursue: global, fearless, deeply reported, and intellectually honest.

A humanitarian worker from India shares her experiences, struggle and mission from east Libya, the first Indian on the Gaza land convoy, hoping to carry aid in.
Nikita Naidu, a climate-justice activist, joined the Global Sumud Flotilla’s North African land convoy, the largest civilian-led mission yet to break the siege on Gaza. Ten Indians signed up. Only she could go. The rest faced visa rejections or were asked not to travel over health and family concerns.

No one should dismiss the pain of a family facing investigation. But empathy cannot be selective.
The girl and her parents too have faced fear, humiliation and enormous emotional trauma throughout this episode.
And one question still remains:
If there was complete faith in the legal system, why did it take NINE DAYS for the accused to appear before police while his whereabouts were allegedly known?
Would an ordinary citizen receive the same protection, time and coordination?
We are not questioning personal pain.
We are questioning whether the RULE OF LAW works equally for the powerful and the common citizen.
Over the past one week, my family has gone through one of the most emotionally difficult phases of our lives. There were moments of pain, anxiety, helplessness and deep emotional strain.
The situation affected my entire family deeply. My mother suffered a heart stroke during this difficult phase, which was very traumatic.
But in these testing times, the immense love & support extended by lakhs of people across the country gave me strength to stand firm.
I sincerely thank every BJP karyakarta, leader, supporter, friend, member of the media and social media who stood by us, spoke for us, prayed for us and gave us emotional support. From remote villages to cities, from young to old, countless people reached out with concern and affection.
Many who believed in fairness and justice chose to stand with truth despite immense pressure and targeting. I will always remain grateful for that support.
Honestly, I never realized I had earned so much love and goodwill over the years. Your affection & blessings are my greatest strength.
I want to reassure every well-wisher, supporter and karyakarta that there has been no wrongdoing from our side. We have complete faith in the legal process and truth will ultimately prevail.
At the same time, I request everyone to understand that this is a personal family matter and we will continue to fight it legally with complete faith in the judiciary and justice system.
I humbly request all BJP karyakartas and supporters not to get distracted emotionally. Please continue strengthening BJP in Telangana and continue your hard work for the party and ideology.
We will face this difficult phase with courage, patience and faith.
Justice may be delayed, but it will not be denied.

NINE DAYS.
Everyone knew where he was.
His father @bandisanjay_bjp publicly says: “My son was with us, we consulted lawyers, and today he appeared before police through advocates.”
Minutes later,@TelanganaCOPs claim he was “ARRESTED.”
So what exactly happened for 9 DAYS?
Was he absconding or under family protection with full knowledge of the system?
Let’s ask a simple question:
If this was an ORDINARY CITIZEN’S SON without political power, Z-category influence, media access and legal shielding would police wait for “appropriate timing” and coordinated surrender optics?
This is not just about one case.
This is about TWO SYSTEMS OF JUSTICE in India:
One for the POWERFUL.
Another for EVERYONE ELSE.
When the influential can negotiate the terms, timing and theatre of law enforcement, public faith in institutions collapses.
EQUALITY BEFORE LAW cannot remain a slogan reserved for press statements.
“SATYAMEVA JAYATE” must mean accountability too.
More than 96 hours after a #POCSO FIR was filed against a Union Minister @bandisanjay_bjp's son, the accused is still reportedly untraceable, but sections of the #Media have already declared it a “honey trap” without any official #police conclusion.
Some serious questions:
Have police questioned Union Minister @bandisanjay_bjp and family about his son’s whereabouts?
If he left #India, is tracing immigration records really impossible for @TelanganaCOPs ?
If he is innocent, why avoid #investigation instead of cooperating?
Without any official police conclusion, who is feeding the “honey trap” narrative to media houses?
Why no action against selective leaks and misleading coverage when a minor girl is involved and the #POCSO Act mandates protection of the child’s dignity and privacy?
Would @TelanganaCOPs show the same patience if this involved an ordinary citizen’s son?
We have gone through all 162 files in the Pentagon's UFO release.
Here are six the headlines missed. 🧵
The Pentagon filmed an "eight-pointed star" over the Middle East in 2013 and still cannot identify it.
DOW-UAP-PR38 is the oldest video in the Department of War's PURSUE release. It runs one minute 46 seconds. Infrared sensor, black-hot mode, US military platform in the CENTCOM area of operations.
The Pentagon's own description of the object on screen: "an eight-pointed star with arms of alternating length."
The official video description also records that the object leaves "a visible trail" while moving, between 11 and 29 seconds into the clip. A trail usually points to heat or exhaust.

🇳🇿Paradise pushing Kiwis out?
New Zealand’s snow-capped mountains, golden beaches and rainforests still wow the world. Yet 63,626 citizens left long-term in the 12 months to January 2026.
Of those, 47,951 went to Australia.
Even former PM Jacinda Ardern moved to Sydney.
The reason? Read full story in comments to read more.
Also, net migration? Still strongly positive. Arrivals from India, China and the Philippines far outnumber departures.

That sacred chank shell from the temple?
It might be destroying India's oceans.
India is now the 5th largest mollusc exporter in the world earning a massive $715 MILLION in 2024 alone.
But in Rameswaram and the Gulf of Mannar, this booming trade is pushing marine life to the brink.
The revered chank, once plentiful, is now almost impossible to find alive in the wild.
Molluscs are the ocean's cleaners: they filter water, control algae, protect reefs and hold the entire marine food web together.
Without them, everything collapses.
Prof. Vincent Nijman, Oxford Brookes University: "The scale of the shell trade is much larger than I thought. More species, more networks, more parties involved. And yet no one seems to be paying attention."
Shocking truth: British colonial rules on chank fishing were stricter than what we have in India today.
Religious demand is huge. Shells sell for Rs 5,000-15,000 each. Yet regulation is almost zero.
The fix is not a total ban.

Three villages in India send 70% of their men to sea.
Right now 60 of them are trapped in Gulf war zones.
One Indian sailor. 48 hours. Three war moments.
A drone hit his ship.
A missile nearly hit it again.
Then one struck the airport as he waited to board.
Same man. 48 hours. Persian Gulf to Dubai.
He's 32. From a fishing village in India.
Not a soldier. A sailor.
