I am super thankful for the students that I get to teach every week and for the joy they bring to me. Last week we got to sing songs that were all themed towards turkey day! It was a blast and I can't wait to show them what we got in store for tomorrow! #EDU310

We did more concert prep last week! It's starting to get all put together and the kids are holding pitch exceptionally well. I can't wait to hear what it sounds like once they have all of the lyrics memorized!

Had a rough previous week because I got sick. This sadly made me miss one of my days with the kiddos… I only see them once a week so I’ve missed them quite a bit these past two weeks. I can’t wait to see them tomorrow!

Last week at my placement we started preparing for the 4th/5th grade winter choir concert. It was a great opportunity helping teach the vocal lines with piano and seeing how well the students retain a melody or a harmonizing line.

@joshua_mclinn What a great realization that you’ve made super early in your track. Every students going to be different and being able to differentiate how you respond to their actions is going to help a lot. I recommend trying music therapy for some students if you get the chance. #EDU310

During my placement last week we had a lot of fun getting festive. We were singing the songs “Wake up you lazy bones”, “Pass the pumpkin” and “Pumpkin Bones”. The kids really enjoyed doing these songs and the motions that went with them!

Had an amazing week at my placement! I got to teach a full lesson this week for my observation. It was a lot to prepare and learn but I think overall it went really well! I look forward to more time to teach and grow with these kiddos. :)

@tdoherty333 @MaddieLaszewski You’re MT must’ve done a lot of work at the beginning of the year to get those set and stone. Working on procedures and routines can be tedious/repetitive but are essential for a smooth running class. Seems like a pretty great class to be apart of!

Had an amazing week with the kiddos! We got to learn a few new songs and work on our rhythm reading. I have my first observation tomorrow with material that’s very similar. I hope all goes well with me and the students. :))

I got to go to my placement for the first time it went great! The kids at both schools are all having fun learning and loving music. That is truly what I love to see.
