The footage, posted by the Instagram account @ masum__ai___077____,
shows at least two men using a stick to force a dog underwater in an apparent attempt to drown it. The men then coax the dog toward the bank, loop a rope around its neck to restrain it, and beat it repeatedly with a stick. The dog did not survive. The account holder appears to have filmed and documented the killing rather than participated directly, making him a key witness who can identify the perpetrators.
The account holder is believed to operate in the Tufanganj area of Cooch Behar district. This assessment is based on other footage posted by the same account, which shows a storefront on Tufanganj Main Road, specifically, the co-located Mio Amore and The Sugarr & Spice bakery outlets, that has been verified against Google Street View imagery. While the footage of the killing itself contains no independent location markers, the account holder's presence in Tufanganj represents the strongest available lead.
Authorities must immediately:
🔴 Identify & arrest the perpetrators
🔴 Preserve the Instagram footage/account data before deletion
🔴 Examine the person who recorded the incident as a key witness
🔴 Conduct a proper investigation and forensic examination

Eight community dogs who were reportedly loved and cared for by local feeders inside the Mhow Army Cantonment were allegedly caught by pig catchers, brutally tied and beaten, then transported around 42 km away and dumped on the Indore highway.
When they were found, only two were reportedly still alive. One is now receiving shelter care and is expected to return after recovery. The other, reportedly injured and terrified, fled.
