HEADLINE: MMRDA Land Encroachers Accuse Rauf shaikh Senior PI (Crime), Re-Encroach Government Land – Will Goregaon west , additional CP North region, DCP zone 11 Police Register an FIR?

A shocking incident unfolded yesterday at Goregaon Police Station in connection with the MMRDA land encroachment case. Alleged encroachers Shabbir Memon, Fawaj Memon and their associates reportedly created a scene at the police chowki, misbehaved with police officials and levelled allegations against Senior PI (Crime) Rauf Shaikh.
The bigger question now is: Will Goregaon Police take strict action against those who openly challenged law enforcement and allegedly re-encroached upon government land after action had already been taken?
According to local residents, the MMRDA watchman's complaint resulted only in an NC, while the same government land is allegedly being occupied again. If government land can be re-encroached immediately after official action, it raises serious questions about the effectiveness of enforcement and the message being sent to habitual encroachers.
Citizens are now demanding answers from DCP Zone 11 and Senior PI Kharat of Goregaon Police Station. Will an FIR be registered? Will action be taken against those who allegedly misbehaved with police officers and unlawfully re-entered government land? Or will this case also be buried under paperwork?
This is no longer just an encroachment issue. It is becoming a matter of public confidence in law enforcement and the rule of law. If individuals can openly defy authorities and reclaim government land without consequences, what message does that send to the public?
We urge Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti to immediately intervene, order an impartial inquiry, and ensure that strict legal action is taken against all those found responsible.
