🧵Americans have long been the target of foreign propaganda campaigns, however, I've noticed a massive uptick in foreign propaganda specifically targeting Conservative Americans. Here are some of the most-frequented topics:
- No Enemy to the Right (NETTR) aka Friend-Enemy Distinction
- Isolationism/anti-war
- Multipolarity over US Supremacy
- Drop the dollar as Reserve Currency
- Antisemitism/Anti-Zionism
- Post-Liberalism
- Pro-Russia/Anti-Ukraine
- Data Center Opposition
- Distributism/Collectivism
- Balkanization
This is not necessarily exhaustive, nor is every item on this list exclusively aimed at Conservatives. I've just noticed that many of these are aimed at Conservatives in particular.
Here are some great questions to ask in order to help you identify propaganda:
- Is this true?
- If it's true, what's the context?
- Could it be misdirection? (Meaning it may be true, but it's irrelevant, or meant to distract me from some other truth).
- Who benefits if I believe this, or if more people believe it?
The last question, "Who benefits?" is essential. It will not only help you identify propaganda, but it may also help you figure out where the propaganda is coming from.
Continue the thread to find out more about each propaganda topic I listed above🧵...

The 120,000 Armenians who were driven out of Nagorno-Karabakh by Azerbaijan left behind their homes and history, not tourist destinations. Tour operators shouldn't use their misery to make a fast buck. @SaveArmeniaUS

‼️ A step forward for religious freedom in Iraq.
Iraqi law required Maryam to be classified as a Muslim in official state documentation — despite the fact that she is a Christian.
Now, a high court in Iraq has affirmed her right to choose her faith and be once again designated as a Christian in the state's database.

Israel strongly condemns the shameful decision of the Church of England @Synod to grant legitimacy to the extremist Kairos Palestine document. This hateful document undermines the right of the world's only Jewish state to exist, and seeks to justify the atrocities of October 7 by blaming Israel for causing it.
Even more disturbingly, it urges churches to boycott dialogue with “Zionist voices,” in practice excluding the overwhelming majority of the Jewish community in the UK from Christian-Jewish engagement unless they renounce Jewish self-determination.
The irony is striking. The Church of England has itself adopted the IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism, including all of its examples without qualification. So by the Church’s own standard, its decision to delegitimize Jewish self-determination falls under the definition of antisemitism.
At a time of unprecedented hatred against Jews, and after centuries in which Christian institutions contributed to the persecution of Jews, the Church had a special responsibility to exercise moral clarity. Instead, it has chosen to reward extremism, damage Christian-Jewish relations, and bring profound shame upon the Church of England.
And on a personal note:
The Church of England had an opportunity to promote understanding by engaging the full diversity of Christian voices from the Holy Land. It did not. I say this as an Arab Christian whose family has lived in this land for centuries.
Instead, the Church opted to elevate one of the most radical and divisive theological and political manifestos produced in recent years. The consequences of that decision will echo far beyond the walls of the General Synod.
Mass graves. Mass rape. Ethnic cleansing. Forced displacement. Enforced disappearance. Torture. War crimes. Extrajudicial executions. The largest humanitarian crisis in the world.
The conflict in Sudan is unlike other conflicts we've seen in the region for years.
Sudan's war isn't a struggle between good and bad. It's a conflict between two armed factions with no legitimate claim to represent the Sudanese people.
The Sudanese Armed Forces, led by al-Burhan, have become the military vehicle of the Muslim Brotherhood. The RSF, meanwhile, has grown from just another militia into Africa's largest private army.
Perhaps the most striking development is Saudi Arabia's position. After decades of portraying the Muslim Brotherhood as an existential threat, Riyadh now backs al-Burhan despite his links to the Brotherhood. This suggests that, as I repeatedly warned, the Kingdom's campaign against the Brotherhood was driven less by opposition to its ideology than by the threat it posed to Saudi rule.
Our analysis explains how this realignment emerged—and what it could mean for Sudan and the wider Middle East.

PCUSA has lost 67% of its members since the 1980s. Meanwhile, the Christian population of Israel has grown by 110%.
Maybe if they spent less time condemning the one country in the M.E. where Christians are actually thriving, they’d have more Christians left to do the condemning.
Iranian authorities have stepped up pressure on one of the country’s few surviving Protestant churches, threatening to confiscate its valuable central Tehran compound and evict residents, in what church leaders describe as the latest assault on Christian worship sites.

David Collier asks: Why is the Archbishop of Canterbury ignoring Islamist persecution of Christians while platforming alleged PFLP activists and presenting them as innocent victims? Why wasn’t this context disclosed to the public?
