🌎 Indigenous Women Have Always Led.
Long before biodiversity, food security, or sustainability became part of international agendas, Indigenous Women were already protecting territories, sustaining knowledge systems, strengthening their communities, and building solutions for future generations.
International recognition is an important step. But the challenge now is to move from recognition to commitment and action.
In this Position Paper, FIMI underscores the importance of international institutions, States, and other global actors recognizing this leadership and joining efforts to build responses and commitments that fully incorporate the voices, rights, and proposals of Indigenous Women.
