This is what chronic illness does.....I do not know about other chronically ill. Makeup, fashion, fixing hair are luxuries not afforded to people in CP or chronically ill.

My friends with chronic conditions, please ♥️THANK ♥️@benKeath , @SenNickSchroer , @MOFreedomCaucus , and the JCAR committee, for stopping a Rule for PDMP expansion. You might let them know how people with chronic conditions feel about loss of privacy, loss of access to care & the PDMP have changed your life. This committee helped us.
#pain , #chronicpain
“The people closest to me didn’t understand what I was going through, and after a while didn’t care because I was ‘always sick.’ So I stopped talking about my #chronicillness… The time I needed support the most, I found myself almost completely alone.” https://t.co/x3d0s2H2zS
“Don’t beat yourself up… If your #chronicillness causes #brainfog, it’s not your fault… I still get sad that chronic illness has so drastically limited what I can do…but I’ve learned not to blame myself… Sadness can give rise to #selfcompassion.” https://t.co/IYJMG8sFXt #pwME
The “health” monopolies fund the candidates re-elections. Elected officials screw healthcare. No Drs present to stand in the way. Even retired Drs would be nice if they would get involved.
This session, at our state level, there was an amendment about CON. Not to repeal it, but just add more to it.
@DoraWinterz@TLChronicPain My career included training at the MD Anderson Cancer Center I treated women with advanced cervical cancer with upwards of 5000MME/day No drug testing, no overdoses, no deaths from sleep apnea No RX for narcan No pill counts, no imaging WTF HAPPENED?
The Opioid Crisis. A Policy Aimed at the Wrong Crisis.
They built it on a lie.
They said prescription opioids were driving mass overdose deaths. Illicit fentanyl was already the primary driver by 2013.
They said addiction rates among pain patients were 8–12%. Peer reviewed studies found 0.2%–3.3%. The higher figures counted taking an extra pill on a bad pain day as addiction.
They said the 90 MME threshold was clinically grounded. It was called expert consensus. The experts were PROP — an addiction medicine advocacy group. They set the threshold. They called it science. It was neither.
An advocacy group set the number that ended millions of treatment relationships.
The policy was built on a lie. The data told the truth.
60 million chronic pain patients are still paying the price — for a policy built on the wrong data for the wrong people.
One in four Americans has chronic pain. This policy affects you — or someone you know.

Next time you have a headache don’t reach for the painkillers… Just meditate your way out of it!
Not fun, is it?
Now imagine having that pain daily w/no way of controlling it &, when you go to “experts” for help, they tell you to “think” your way out of it.
That’s chronic pain.
@professorannab Surprisingly I had less pain having my wisdom teeth cut out than pulled..I have quite a few implants and I was surprised that the procedure wasn't as much pain as I expected..Root canals for me were far worse.. were they asleep for implants?
@ravensspirit68 I had one on my right foot and I can only explain it as feeling like your walking in nails/rocks/glass..I must say it's the only surgery I have had that I felt NO pain and it felt better after the surgery. I got a block that lasted 3 days. I went to a fireworks display 3 days po
