Lessons from the Black civil rights movement in the U.S. should still help guide the #AmharaGenocide campaign and support for #Fano , and it's time to create an Amhara National Congress.

Ethiopian Organizations urge the United Arabย Emirates govโt to reassessย militaryย ties with Abiy Ahmed govโt amid rising drone-related civilian deaths in the Amhara region. Read. https://t.co/m41rWeXJk9 @zborkena@HHShkMohd@AbiyAhmedAli@AmericaEthiopia@EA_DevCouncil#Ethiopia #UAE #humanrights #Amhara
The US government, @JoeBiden administration appears to indirectly support the @AbiyAhmedAli government, which is reportedly carrying out the largest massacre of innocent civilians in the world today.
Currently, there's an ongoing ethnic cleansing targeting the Amhara people in Ethiopia. Unfortunately, the #US, #Westernworld and #AU appear to have turned a blind eye to these horrific atrocities. Therefore @AbiyAhmedAli administration has continued to target innocent #Amhara civilians with drones, heavy artillery, shelling, summary executions, blockades, starvation, denying medical care and humanitarian aid, and forcibly displacing the Amhara population.
Over the past five months, the Amhara region has been in a state of emergency, experiencing a complete internet shutdown and facing restricted access to rights groups, journalists, and humanitarian support. The Ethiopian government has launched drone attacks over 100 times on Amhara civilians, targeting women, children, and the elderly. Almost daily, there have been drone strikes in various parts of the Amhara region, including crowded city centers, residential areas, hospitals, schools, and places of worship. As a consequence of the war on Amhara, nearly 300 thousand people dead, 1 million people displaced, 3 million students have been unable to attend school. The total number of displaced people in Ethopia is 4.8 million, currently the highest in the world.
Deutsche Welle, Amharic Service quoted the regional health officeย in Amhara Region as saying that more than 10,000 people who were seeking medical did not receive the treatment due to the blockade of roads and lack of resources.
The spread of various diseases in the Region have been reported by the Health Bureau and other concerned bodies. According to the recent information obtained from Amhara Public Health Institute, hundreds have died of cholera that broke out in the Region.ย
The @AbiyAhmedAli government is severely suffocatingย the entire Amhara population by imposing travel restrictions and halting business activities. As a result, tourism has ceased, given that many tourist attractions are situated in Amhara. Hotels, restaurants, transportation services, and other businesses have come to a halt. This situation has led to foreign investors leaving, causing a scarcity of foreign currency. Factories are operating at significantly reduced capacities due to a lack of supplies, resulting in a doubling of prices for food and household items this year. Stores are emptied, warehouses are drained, and Amhara farmers are being denied access to seeds and fertilizers.
The Ethiopian government has unlawfully detained more than 300,000 Amhara citizens, confining them in concentration camp like prisons situated in remote areas. Among those incarcerated are Amhara parliamentarians, as well as prominent figures including professors, journalists, university students, and clergy members. Due process is currently absent in Ethiopia.
The ethnic-motvated war targeting #Amhara must cease immediately to prevent it from escalating into a situation potentially worse than the Rwandan genocide of 1994, which was initially ignored by Western countries until it resulted in the loss of a million lives.
