Here's an impression of our last scientific session of the day.
Many thanks to @YBezsudnova, @EelkeSpaak, @WangDanying and @EleonoraMarcant for your excellent talks.
I hope everyone else is feeling inspired by today's presentations. I know I am.
Who says festival season is over? 🎸📷🥁
Presenting the hottest lineup in town!
We're so excited to welcome these speakers to @unibirmingham on October 28th-31st for QMAG, QMEG and MEG-UKI 2024.
Stay tuned: We may be adding some Special Guests to this lineup soon😉
Delighted to announce our latest work in @NatureHumBehav. While watching movies, theta phase precession is triggered by cognitive boundaries. Strength of precession predicts strength of memory formed. @Zjmay1 @gkreiman@CedarsSinai@CaltechN https://t.co/Fiu0q0SLdY
Still thrilled by this year's @Salzburg_SAMBA and the associated satellite symposium! Thanks to @nweisz2, @ManuelSchabus and the other organizers for setting up one of my personal highlights of the year! It was great to be an active part of this fantastic event!
Language processing at the single-neuron level! Lovely work by Doris Dijksterhuis with Pieter Roelfsema, Matthew Self et al.
Pronouns reactivate conceptual representations in human hippocampal neurons https://t.co/unTCLms405
Thrilled to announce that our work on the role of ripples in memory reactivation during human NREM sleep has been published in @NatureComms. With the amazing @t_staudigl, @b_j_griffiths, and @mervekutlu_

#PhDpositions we have an exiting fully funded PhD position to fill focused on developing new non-cryogenic MEG sensors based on Tunnelling Magnetoresistive Sensors (TMR). This will be a fun, interdisciplinary project at the heart of @Neurotech_UofG https://t.co/zKN5gloJBi
Jump into the fascinating world of Neurotech research we do at the University of Glasgow and see how science, technology, and ethics come together to shape the future of healthcare. Find us in the Glasgow Science Centre today!
📢 Delighted to share our new paper in Current Opinion in Behavioral Sciences: "Rhythmic sensory stimulation as a noninvasive tool to study plasticity mechanisms in human episodic memory" https://t.co/4UmNzmU551
w/ @WangDanying Andrew Clouter @Kimron_Shapiro & @SimonHanslmayr
The CCNi is turning 15! We will celebrate the occasion with a party next week on Thursday the 6th of June.

I am very excited to share that our paper has now been published in @Nature. We describe a single-cell correlate of theta-gamma phase amplitude coupling and show how these cells are involved in the cognitive control of working memory storage processes.

Finally out in Nature Communications!
Great team effort with @EFouragnan
In this new work we show that cardiac fluctuations can influence learning-related internal representations

New publication in eLife! https://t.co/lNbBcO43cY @eLife
Single neurons don’t just communicate with other nearby neurons — they can synchronize with faraway activity too! In humans, the firing of neurons throughout the MTL, synchronizes to the hippocampal theta rhythm (1–10 Hz).
Happy to share our latest paper, https://t.co/ChBvsvacZ4 We asked a pretty simple question about the role of feedback inhibition in CA1 and how it impacts ripples, place coding and sparsity of activity. This all started many years ago when @ChinnaAdaikkan was a visiting student
📢📢Check out our new paper in @CurrentBiology offering causal support for the oscillator model of the ERP genesis!

Fantastic achievement by @tarasi_luca (Premio Giovani SIPF) and @Jelena_Trajkov (Premio SIPF junior). Not one but two prices for the Consciousness Research Group, Unibo, at @SIPFNC 2023.
What a better recognition for the tremendous job made by two outstanding young scientists?
Amazing opportunity to join in a conversation with film director, academics, leaders and activists involved in memory studies, refugee history, and solidarity campaigns in Scotland. @debasersfilms @MarWimber @KAMackinnon @ctur282388
