This speech is full of half-truths, distortions, misleading claims and outright lies.

Basically living up to every meme, trope and unfair stereotype, of Americans being ignorant morons.

I'll go through each of the claims he made in this segment and what the actual facts are. /1

The Cybertruck is only bulletproof to bb guns, a .22, and the 9mm. *Everything else* including a tiny .17 bullet passes right though. Glass is not resistant at all.

A $400m government purchase would be incredibly wasteful, and @DOGE should look into it.

America’s elected senators have demonstrated their ignorant contempt for science by confirming an anti-vaccination loonie as Health Secretary.

@techdroider The "ecosystem" manipulation. Make iphones work with all standard gadgets and make all apple gadgets work with all standard phones, then we talk.

It was a great honour to host @geoffreyhinton in @ucddublin today and to present him with the Ulysses Medal. He shared his thoughts on AI very generously with our students, researchers and the very large audience that came to hear him at the medal presentation.

💼🌿🧘‍♀️Could a shorter workweek improve our health, increase company productivity and help us meet environmental targets?

🪧The traditional five-day workweek came about in the early 20th century when unions advocated reducing the six-day workweek. In a move towards a healthier, more sustainable work-life balance that can meet modern society's needs, organisations like @4dayweek_global are now advocating for a shorter work week.

🇮🇪Dr Orla Kelly @UCDSocialPWJ led the Irish component of the first @4dayweek_global coordinated international trial. Companies offered employees 100% of their pay for 80% of their time, with the proviso they continue to achieve 100% of organisational goals.

The research demonstrated that worktime reduction not only benefits employees, but the companies as well. It found that the four-day week resulted in a significant increase in physical and mental health, life satisfaction and work-life balance, with reduced sleep problems, anxiety, burnout and carbon footprint.

This project was a finalist in the 2023 UCD Research Impact Case Study Competition, read more: https://t.co/x0exOtyUsi
