President Getachew Reda discusses with UK Ambassador in Ethiopia

#Tigray Interim Administration President along his cabinet discusses with UK delegation led by its Ambassador to Ethiopia Darren Welch.

President Getachew Reda stated that Eritrean forces are standing in the way of the peace process and called on the UK to make effort for the Pretoria peace agreement to hold.

Ambassador Darren also urged the full implementation of the Peace Agreement signed between the Ethiopian government and the TPLF.

Both sides raised their concern over the deteriorating humanitarian situation in Tigrai after the suspension of aid by major aid provides to Ethiopia.

The United Kingdom delegation led by its Ambassador along UK's Special Envoy for the Red Sea and the Horn of Africa Sarah Montgomery arrived in Mekelle this morning.

The delegation visited 70 kare IDPs camp and Ayder Referral Hospital in the morning as well as spoke with religious fathers in the noon.

According to the Ambassador, the delegation is also in Mekelle to announce its fund to the AU Monitoring, Verification and Compliance Mechanism as part of UK's effort to suppprt the implementation of the Pretoria Cessation of Hostilities Agreement.
