@blacksciblog I think it depends a lot on the bacterial strain. Some are professional intracellular pathogens which can resist killing, whereas others prefer to stay outside and kill the macrophages instead 🙂

@biofilmbiol Thanks a lot Nandan! 😊 We did find that EPS genes were upregulated within macrophages. The data got published in another paper (Moussouni et al.,2019, Front Cell Infect Microbio). We could check biofilm formation in vitro, but not within macrophages.

I felt strong as a working woman & then I was reminded of the global situation of women. On my way to work today, I was harassed by a stranger who made some gestures while driving-by. Although a small incident, it speaks a lot about the image of women in the society.
