We need to listen to one another again. Wealth inequality at the scale we have lived through, was neither conservative nor was it fair. Short of revolution there are no easy solutions.

"I think the probability of a good outcome is like 80% likely... only 20% chance of annihilation."
- Elon Musk
So I made a music video that takes you on a tour of both outcomes.
Russia's five-hospital quarantine, FSB involvement, and reported hazmat use in response to the death of a single researcher at a weapons-lineage Irkutsk lab are inconsistent with a lab-acquired plague infection, which would have been treated with prophylactic antibiotics.

My father was a Quaker pacifist, he did alternative service instead of serving in Vietnam. I respected him with an asterisk, I grew up in 80’s and I was going to fight if required.
Now that I’m past my possible fighting years I think more on the wisdom of universal pacifism. Of all then”ism’s” inflicted on human beings this one is often derided as weak among fearful people.
So many foolish things have been tried but if our country is destroyed by militarism we all die foolishly. If we all die due to our foolish pacifism we die martyrs for peace.
It’s a false dilemma I know because most think that in a militaristic society only the unlucky and military people die. That seems less noble.
There’s a weird shift happening with Gen X right now.
We did everything we were told would make us successful.
Worked hard.
Stayed loyal.
Put our heads down.
Became dependable.
Built careers.
Bought homes.
Raised families.
Created lives that looked great on paper.
We did what society said we were supposed to do.
And for a long time, we believed the reward would be waiting at the end.
But now a lot of us are in our 40s and 50s looking around and thinking:
“I don’t want to do this forever.”
It’s not that we’ve lost our work ethic.
We still want money.
We still have ambition.
We still want to build things and achieve goals.
What’s changed is our definition of success.
These days, success looks less like another promotion and more like freedom.
Freedom to choose how we spend our days.
Freedom to say no.
Freedom to be present with the people we love.
Freedom to wake up without feeling like our lives are owned by a calendar.
Because after decades of trading time for money, many of us have realized something important:
Money can be earned again.
Time can't.
And once you understand that, you stop chasing status and start chasing your life back.
There is an abundance of oil.
There is an abundance of coal.
There is an abundance of gas.
There is an abundance of food.
There is an abundance of water.
Scarcity is being fabricated by psychopaths.
