@Discovery_SA No other bank in SA does this (that I am aware of). What changed to make you all of sudden charge us a crazy 2%. 2% is huge in the payments industry and this is on top of the normal issuer fees and punitive fx spreads you charge.
@discovery_sa now charging an extra 2% fee on βinternationalβ merchants ie Rand transactions on Spotify, Apple, Netflix, Playtomic, Nike etc is insane. Talk about short term profiteering. How can you build out a bank and then rip off your high end clients?
1) Given how manifestly terrible most boards are at capital allocation, I think companies should have "Capital Allocation Officers" who are in charge of buybacks, capital structure, issuance.
A majority of the board can overrule them, but the details of this vote must be public.
In SA we always focus on the 2 or 3 popular sporting codes but Iβve had the privilege of getting to know one of SAβs greatest ever sportsman in terms of international accolades, @GregMinnaar is the Goat, take a look whyβ¦ https://t.co/PdHZfQhyvJ
Unpopular opinions: We're living in the greatest time ever for the most people ever, things are getting better and have been for a long time, the technology we're addicted to is mostly awesome, and the challenges that face us are solvable.
@HomeAffairsSA@GovernmentZA 2hours and counting with a newborn at Wynberg branch and still nowhere near getting served. How is a simple birth certificate application not available online? Forcing people to spend hours in close proximity in queues for routine docs is not just inefficient, itβs dangerous.
@HomeAffairsSA@GovernmentZA Make that 3 hours and still waiting to get in the door. Wish I could say itβs a go slow but this is normal for home affairs. @CyrilRamaphosa fight covid, move home affairs online for basic obvious tasks
