LAHORE: The Health and Population Department has conducted the first Training of Trainers (ToT) on the newly developed Stroke Management Information System (SMIS) as part of efforts to strengthen digital health information management and improve health service delivery for the Specialized healthcare department.
According to officials, the training was conducted by the departmentโs Programme Officer (Statistics/Data) and Logistics Specialist for members of the Punjab Health Initiative Management Company (PHIMC), including the Manager IT, Assistant Manager Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), and Deputy Manager M&E.
Participants received hands-on training on the systemโs Logistics Module to enable effective management, monitoring and reporting of logistics-related data. They were also briefed on various modules integrated into the new Health Management Information System (HMIS), developed by the Health and Population Departmentโs IT team.
Officials stated that the initiative would help enhance the technical capacity of stakeholders and promote efficient use of digital platforms for evidence-based decision-making, improved data management and better healthcare services across the province.

Lahore: An orientation session on the newly integrated ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ง๐๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ญ๐๐ฆ (๐๐๐๐) was held at the Punjab Family Planning Program for the World Health Organization (WHO) team.
The WHO team, led by Dr. Yahya, Senior Consultant for Maternal and Child Health Care, was briefed by Haseeb Ur Rehman, Program Officer (Statistics/Data), PFPP, along with the department's senior technical and development team. The session highlighted the system's key features, including the integration of major health program modules such as Family Planning, Nutrition, and other essential healthcare services into a unified digital platform.
The WHO team appreciated the Punjab Family Planning Program's efforts to strengthen Punjab's health information ecosystem by developing an integrated HMIS that enhances coordination, supports evidence-based decision-making, and improves service delivery across primary and secondary healthcare facilities across Punjab.

Lahore: The Punjab Family Planning Program (PFPP) convened a strategic meeting chaired by Manager, Monitoring & Implementation Unit (MIU) Abid Ghaffar and M&E Specialist, with the cLMIS team, supported by UNFPA. The meeting was attended by Husna Batool and her team from UNFPA, alongside members of the PFPP team and other relevant technical representatives.
The discussion focused on the prospects of integrating the Contraceptive Logistics Management Information System (cLMIS) with the logistics management component of the new Health Management Information System (HMIS). Participants explored opportunities to establish a more integrated and data-driven system for monitoring contraceptive commodity consumption and forecasting demand.
The proposed integration is expected to strengthen supply chain management by enhancing data visibility, improving demand forecasting, and supporting timely decision-making. The meeting also highlighted the importance of inter-organizational collaboration and digital innovation in ensuring the uninterrupted availability of family planning commodities across Punjab.
This initiative reflects the Punjab Family Planning Program's continued commitment to strengthening health information systems, fostering strategic partnerships, and advancing evidence-based solutions to improve the availability and accessibility of quality family planning services throughout Punjab.
