🕯️ JUSTICE FOR OUR KUKI-ZO CIVILIANS

We mourn Thangvel Gangte, Julie Gangte, Pu Seineh Singsit and Pi Lhingngai Singsit—four Kuki civilians whose lives were tragically cut short in separate attacks allegedly involving NSCN-IM and ZUF-K.

We strongly condemn these killings and demand an immediate, impartial and independent investigation. Any allegations involving the United Naga Council, Senapati District student groups, JTM, NPO, ANSAM, Tangkhul CSOs, political representatives, Deputy Chief Minister Losii Dikho, or armed groups must be properly investigated and established through evidence.

The Cobra teams and Central security forces must strengthen civilian protection and conduct lawful, intelligence-based operations against armed perpetrators without delay.

No impunity. No selective justice. Protect civilians. Bring the perpetrators to justice.

🕯️ Their lives mattered. Their stories must never be forgotten.

I wish to bring to your kind notice that Master Henminsang, aged 5 years, from Tollen, was brutally assaulted at point-blank range by cadres of Tangkhul NSCN-IM and ZUF-Kamson. In the said attack, both his parents tragically lost their lives. The child sustained grievous injuries on 13th September, 2026, and is presently in a critical condition at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH), where he is scheduled to undergo surgery at the earliest.

In this hour of profound distress, the Kuki Students' Organisation (KSO), Silchar, has initiated a crowdfunding drive and earnestly appeals to all sections of society for prayers and generous financial assistance to save the life of this innocent and unarmed child. Four people, including a couple, were killed and a six-year-old boy was injured in two separate attacks by armed assailants in Manipur’s Tamenglong district on Sunday, police said. The attacks occurred several hours apart on September 13, a day observed by the Kuki community as “Sahit Ni” or “Black Day” in memory of those killed during the Kuki-Naga ethnic violence of the 1990s. Police have launched an investigation to identify those responsible for the attacks. No group has so far claimed responsibility for the incidents, officials said.

New Delhi 13 Sep, 2926: Kuki Inpi Delhi organised Kuki Black Day in Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) to pay tribute to Kuki victims of the ongoing conflict and to remember those who lost their lives in attacks.

During the observance, participants paid homage to more than 1,000 Kuki people reportedly killed by NSCN-IM and more than 250 Kuki people reportedly killed in attacks involving Meitei groups.

Tributes were also paid to the victims reported killed today, including Julie Gangte and Thangvel Gangte of Sempat Village, along with Lhingzangai Singsit and Seineh Singsit.

The gathering highlighted the loss of civilian lives and called for justice, accountability and lasting peace for the affected communities. Participants observed the day in remembrance of the victims and expressed solidarity with their families.

Miss Julie Gangte of Longpi Village, Tamenglong District, tragically lost her life after being brutally shot in an alleged attack by Liangmai Militants,NSCN-IM and ZUF-K
She was peacefully returning home, carrying a bag of rice for her family, accompanied by one Kuki male and one Kuki female.
The Kuki male companion was also reportedly killed in the attack, while efforts are underway to locate the body of the other female companion.

WHERE WERE THE SECURITY FORCES?

Where were the security forces when Kuki-Zo civilians were reportedly ambushed and killed, with a child also injured? Serious allegations have been raised regarding NSCN-IM, ZUF (Kamson group), and armed elements reportedly coming from Myanmar, including the Shan National Army and junta-linked forces.

Yet when peaceful protests were taking place, Cobra teams, Central forces and Manipur Police reportedly arrived and intervened. Why is force being deployed against peaceful protesters while deadly attacks on civilians demand urgent investigation?

If these allegations are true, this raises a grave question of accountability. Why have there been no clear, transparent and impartial actions against those accused of attacking civilians?

Cobra teams, Central forces and Manipur Police must protect civilians impartially—not suppress peaceful voices demanding justice.
