My friend, I don't know if my words will reach you as I feel them, but I write them with tears flowing down my cheeks, in the middle of a night filled with bombing and planes that do not leave our sky. I've been displaced thirteen times in two years, and every time I thought it wouldn't be harder, but it was. Our bodies can no longer endure, our hearts are filled with sadness, and our souls no longer find a reason to hold on to life. Not because we don't want to live, but because they fight us even in our right to feel human.

Today, for the first time in history, they have targeted 150 vehicles in scattered places. We barely finished erecting the tents until the occupation threw its leaflets to tell us about displacement again, to start bombing us where we ordered refuge. Believe me, I no longer have the strength to continue, I thought I was strong, but I have reached a stage where I no longer want to die.

Eid is approaching, but which Eid is this? Our children haven't bought new clothes for two years, they didn't know joy, they didn't feel safe, they slept and woke up to the sounds of bombs and destruction. How can a child live all this horror without breaking his heart?

Today we lost journalist Anas, the son of my small city, who whenever he saw me greeted me and talked to me. Anas left, and the voice of truth left with him. But are you going to move now? Or are you waiting for the last person in Gaza to die before you say “enough”? The whole world sees and does not move, hears and does not scream. The occupation is lying, the media is lying, everything is distorted to seem that we are not the victim.

But I am writing to you now to tell you: Tell the world that we are tired. Just tell them enough.
