Ukraine again received no early warning from the US and other partner countries before Russia's latest missile and drone attacks.
Zelensky said Ukraine had received advance intelligence from partner countries before Russian attacks in the past, but no such warning was provided this time. Russia then launched strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
This comes after Ukraine launched more than 1,000 drones at Russia on Sunday, and set fire to an oil export terminal and a depot in St. Petersburg.
At the same time, the Trump administration is not sending Patriot interceptor missiles to Ukraine, despite Zelensky repeatedly urging the Trump administration to provide more Patriot interceptor missiles.
I've heard similar anecdotes from other exercises with NATO militaries with Ukrainian drone teams. The NATO force often takes heavy losses on the first day, but then quickly adapts on the subsequent days of the exercise. The write ups in the media often fail to mention these adaptations or the specific conditions of the exercise, which limits the ways the forces can operate.
Lebanese sources are disputing Israel's account of a Hezbollah weapons facility in Kafra, southern Lebanon.
Per MTV, monitoring authorities have logged no strike on any truck in the south since the ceasefire. The Israeli military has not specified when its strike occurred.
Israel earlier released footage it says shows Hezbollah operatives clearing weapons out of the Kafra storage site before the truck was hit.

An interesting subtext to these latest reports out of Iran: officials are saying they will maximize costs to Trump, but don't seem interested in aggressively escalating, nor do they think a deal is possible.
What, then, is the strategy? There seemingly isn't one--beyond preparing for an attack everyone assumes is coming once the midterms are finished. https://t.co/lgYBtuMNiz

Iran called on the UN Security Council to hold an emergency meeting over what it described as US and Israeli threats of further attacks on the country and its critical infrastructure, state-run IRNA reported Monday.
Iran’s ambassador to the UN, Gholamhossein Darzi, cited reports about potential US use of the GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast bomb, known as the “Mother of All Bombs,” against Iran, as well as Israeli threats to strike the country’s energy infrastructure.
“The Security Council cannot remain silent in the face of explicit threats of renewed aggression and the destruction of critical civilian infrastructure,” Darzi wrote in a letter to the UN secretary-general and Security Council president.
Iran called on the UN to condemn threats of attacks on the country, demand that the United States and Israel end them and take urgent action, including convening an emergency Security Council meeting.
Darzi said Iran reserved its right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter and warned that it would give a “decisive response” if the Security Council failed to fulfill its responsibilities and Iran faced further threats.

Chilling With the Pakis in Mons
Late last year a young woman in the Belgian city of Mons was culturally enriched by three Pakistani men in the back of an all-night convenience store. The three are now on trial for taking advantage of her.
The prosecution is asking for sentences of four to five years for the crime of aggravated rape and false imprisonment. Five years! And who knows how much time they will actually spend inside? This is almost as bad as Swedish “justice”.
At the risk of being accused of “blaming the victim”, I have to ask: what in the world was the young lady thinking of? She voluntarily went into the back room of a store with three Pakis in the middle of the night. Then, after the three miscreants locked the door of the business, she voluntarily accepted the offer of a whiskey and coke from one of the esteemed Asian gentlemen.
This is not to say that the perps didn’t commit a crime.
I admit it’s possible that she was simply duped by decades of multicultural propaganda telling her that diversity is our strength, that third-world immigrants people are just like us who enrich our society, and to think anything else is WAYCIST.
But still… You’d have to be completely oblivious about what is happening all over Europe not to be wary of getting pally with three Pakistani culture-enrichers in the wee hours.
October 13, 2026 The 12th of December 2025 will also remain etched in the memory of Laura (not her real name).
Laura, who spent the night in town, decided to go home to study. The exams were approaching. On the way, on the rue de la Clé, she entered a 24-hour store to buy some cookies. Leaving, she went to the restrooms at a nearby cafe, then returned to the shop at 1:42 to buy a drink. The shopkeeper invites her to have a drink at the rear of the shop.
The young woman doesn’t understand what he is saying and uses a translation app. She then follows him. At 2:29, the shop closes its doors. Laura is still inside with the owner, who asks his employee to serve her a whiskey and coke.
Laura has her doubts. Worried, she sends several messages to her roommate. “I am at the all-night shop. If I don’t come back, call the police,” she writes.
The young girl drinks. Her vision becomes blurred. Then, everything goes black.Underwear recovered in the store. It is 6:34 when Laura regains consciousness. She is alone in the back room. Disoriented, she leaves the premises and encounters some trash collectors.
They will later describe seeing a terrified young woman who was looking constantly over her shoulder. Her clothes were disheveled. She was no longer wearing panties. Upon returning to her roommate, Laura tells of having suffered sexual violence in the back room.
The two women go to the hospital for a medical examination at Mons, then at Charleroi. The DNA of a man is discovered in her vagina. The police quickly raided the business. Two men were present. The third was found hiding in a closet.
The investigators also recovered Laura’s panties left on the floor. Tests would reveal the presence of sperm belonging to one of the three suspects, discovered during a second search by the police.
The young woman has only partial memories of that night. Nonetheless, she has identified the three men who were arrested and placed in detention.Monday morning, the three defendants appeared before the criminal court of Mons to answer charges of aggravated rape and false imprisonment.
One of them is already charged with an attempted rape of another client in July 2025. According to the charges, this woman, who simply wanted to buy a cigarette, was allegedly led to the back room. The defendant then allegedly tried to force a kiss on her with his tongue.
The prosecution does not believe them. At the hearing, the three men denied the charges. The owner of the business told a completely different version.
According to him, the young student reportedly tried to rob him of 7,000 euros that he had in his pockets. He did not explain the irrefutable scientific analyses.
A young woman destroyedIn the courtroom, Laura can hardly contain her emotions. The tears flow. At moments, she has to leave the courtroom; the account of that night remains painful.Since the incident, the young woman tells of having lost part of her life. She describes the nightmares, the fear of being approached by a man, the isolation, and the weight gain. She also lost her student job, not being able to bring herself to leave her home.
In spite of her difficulties, she succeeded in finishing her first year at the university. However, it was necessary to adjust her schedule in order to continue her studies.“I have the feeling of being thrown away like a broken toy that night. They took away my dignity, my body, my friends, my family, my education, and many other things. I demand justice,” she declared.
The three men knew very well what was happening in the back of the store. They all share responsibility,” she argues. The attorney also recalls the accusations brought by another client against one of the defendants. For her, the denials of the three men are not credible.“They are sexual predators,” Attorney Maes concludes. The court will render its verdict at the beginning of November.

CHART OF THE DAY: LNG prices rise to a 4-year high, above $30 per mBtu. To put it into context, US/Canadian nat gas prices remain at ~$3 per mBtu. The American heavy industry (particularly chemical/fertilizer) is enjoying a huge feedstock cost advantage.
The Telegraph dedicated an extensive feature to a Russian "documentary" about the Mariupol Drama Theatre. Its main thesis: the theatre was not blown up by the Russians, but by the Ukrainians themselves, in their own home, to smear Moscow.
The author of the film, "The Witnesses", is Vittorio Nicola Rangeloni, an Italian currently living in occupied Donetsk who calls himself an "independent journalist."
The film features alleged eyewitnesses who blame Azov for bombing the building. There is no evidence. Instead, there are memories that Rangeloni suggests taking as truth.
