Sitting, typing, scrolling and martyring oneself for money are about to lose status. The new status games will reward what can't be automated or faked: a body and mind in peak ability.
There is hyperventilation about AI right now. Some say the worry is overblown and others are convinced we’re doomed.
Regardless of the rhetoric, there won’t be any slowing down. The monetary, political and security game dynamics guarantee that. It’s a race to get there first and there is no stopping it. How we build safety, whether we regulate, and how we cooperate will be a dynamic, unpredictable process. I applaud all who are in the arena doing their best to exercise their best judgment.
Humanity is going to do its thing and…wing it.
Where does that leave us?
So what do we mortals do? Where can we find stability of emotion and thought amidst the turbulence?
I have a suggestion for you.
Say yes.
To the experience and not the outcome.
Bask in the glory of this moment.
We are headed for the singularity.
The apex experience of an intelligent race.
I had a trial run doing this a few months ago when I did the entheogen 5-MeO-DMT. It’s the most powerful psychedelic on earth.
I live streamed it.
It was, without question, the most profound experience of my life. It rendered me dumbfounded and speechless. My consciousness settled onto a single concept: the insane, impossible-to-comprehend preciousness of our existence.
To arrive at that understanding, I had to navigate a gauntlet that threatened my sanity.
Seconds after the 5-MeO-DMT enters your body, you are transported into what feels like a different realm of existence. The molecule then poses a question to you: will you relinquish control or shall I crush you?
If you say no, you’re annihilated and become trapped in a hellscape that has no exit. Primal panic overwhelms.
If you say yes, you are allowed entrance to take one step deeper into this new realm. Then the 5-MeO-DMT asks you again, yes or no.
Each time you say yes, it gets harder to bear the immensity of the terrain. You’re constantly teetering on losing your mind in an expanse that is exhilarating beyond description.
Your only job is to say yes.
Yes to… absolutely… everything.
No hesitation.
No conditionals.
No stated preferences.
Your essence must emanate acceptance of all things.
If you make it through, you arrive at the peak experience of conscious existence. The crown jewel which has no peer.
This is where I think we are heading and what awaits us.
I think the coming years will feel like a 5-MeO-DMT experience for every single one of us. We may feel the crushing weight of uncertainty, speed of change, lack of control, and perceived psychosis.
We will feel challenged in ways that we cannot currently imagine. We will feel primal panic and be uncertain if we can stop ourselves from psychological unraveling.
The antidote isn’t more control or more knowing, it’s acceptance.
This is not giving up or shying away from the fight. It’s calming the core and stabilizing your system to give you strength and stamina and avoid being taken over by the primal panic.
In previous times of my life, I would have caved to 5-MeO-DMT. I didn’t have the physical, emotional, spiritual and psychological wherewithal.
I encourage you to start practicing now. Whether in meditation, breathwork or prayer, take on the most complex issues of your life and arrive at full acceptance. One small step at a time.
Things do not need to resolve as you want, or expect. Your only job is to say yes more thoroughly than you’ve ever said yes before.
We talk a lot about the technology, about what AI can do and what we think it will be able to do. What we don’t talk about much is the spiritual strength we will each need to navigate this transition.
We will need each other more than ever before, and we will need to summon a capacity that currently feels foreign to us.
What lies on the other side? No one knows.
This may be the first singularity event in the universe.
After co-inventing ChatGPT, I kept asking myself: why have superhuman chat models not led to AGI?
I’ve spent the last 2 years in stealth building a new way to train models (RLCD), and a new type of frontier AI model that we are releasing today: Jev
• 20-200x faster
• 40-400x cheaper (w/ output tokens free)
• Frontier composable intelligence optimized for decisions
AFAICT the shortest path to AI-based economic revolution
Want to build a domain-specific agent harness?
This is a great practical guide by @sydneyrunkle on designing and building your own custom agent harness.
Worth reading if you’re exploring agentic systems and AI-native products.

⚡️The internet is about to stop being a human environment with machines inside it.
It is becoming a machine environment with humans inside it.
That is enormous.
For thirty years, every website, app, dashboard, marketplace, social network, financial terminal, search engine, and enterprise system was ultimately designed around one assumption: a human being would be the final perceptual and decision-making node.
The machine could calculate. The human had to interpret.
The machine could display. The human had to navigate.
The machine could store. The human had to decide.
CAPTCHAs were almost a literal membrane enforcing that ontology.
Human on this side. Machine on that side.
Now the membrane is breaking.
Once an AI can look at an arbitrary screen, infer what the interface means, understand the goal, manipulate the environment, observe the consequence, recover from mistakes, and continue, something much larger than “automation” has happened.
The machine has acquired a general-purpose body inside civilization’s digital layer.
And that means the first world AI colonizes is not the physical world.
We already built its world for it.
Every database is terrain.
Every website is architecture.
Every button is an actuator.
Every API is infrastructure.
Every financial market is an ecosystem.
Every corporate software stack is a workplace.
Every digital account is an identity.
Every network is transportation.
Human civilization accidentally spent fifty years constructing an artificial environment before producing agents capable of inhabiting it.
That is the thing hiding inside this goofy “I’m not a robot” demo.
And once you see that, the next step becomes obvious.
The internet will increasingly contain machine-native economic actors.
Not tools waiting for humans.
Actors.
Agents managing capital. Agents negotiating with other agents. Agents buying services from other agents. Agents writing software for other agents. Agents monitoring systems, making trades, comparing vendors, negotiating contracts, managing infrastructure, researching opportunities, running experiments, allocating compute, generating media, auditing transactions.
Eventually an enormous amount of economic activity may occur without a human observing the intermediate steps at all.
Humans specify ends.
Machines negotiate the path.
That creates a completely different economy.
Today, a corporation is ultimately a network of humans coordinating through software.
Tomorrow, many corporations may become software coordinating through a much smaller number of humans.
I have data on this
Being without gf (home alone) decreased my recovery by 17%, my sleep by 4% and my resting heart rate by 1%
But it also increased my productivity by 31%
Kind of expected, gf keeps me healthy and if I'm alone I work harder
The more data I collect the more it sticks out though that flying long haul to conferences is the worst thing I can do to my health!

Looks like we will probably catch the ship with the tower in a few months. If there had been a tower out to sea where we practiced landing the ship, it would have been caught.
First reflight of the ship will be either end of this year or early next. That will be a fork in the road of history for consciousness reaching the stars.
Here is my AI investing guide.
Sitting here August 2026, my current best thoughts are as follows:
1. LPS (Land Power Shell) is still the most obvious and fastest path to cash on cash returns. Lots of value can be assembled and traded quickly at this layer. And as data centers get more pushback, energized land can explode in value. Very bullish here.
I’ve stepped into this layer very aggressively. My partner @anitavlallian and I have acquired almost 6GW coming online in a ramp from today thru 2029 of grid power and behind the meter.
2. Silicon - I helped get @GroqInc off the ground in 2015 and we licensed it to @nvidia for $20B Dec2025. I won’t invest or incubate anything in this layer now. The perf demands of the chips are too high, manufacturing precision is too complex and supply chain influence to get adjacent components like memory isn’t possible for a startup anymore. Lots of capital will be wasted here chasing Groq and Cerebras’ success. Note that both startups made sense a decade ago when these constraints were much more modest.
3. Clouds - Clouds are very very lucrative but very hard to build and very expensive and technically complicated to maintain. And as alignment becomes a more important issue, I expect the clouds will be asked to build robust KYC and attest to it. This makes the risk:reward ratio skewed. I don’t want to be responsible when the USG says a cloud allowed a bad actor to do something bad because of poor KYC.
4. Models are complicated. The big open question is how much of the revenue being generated by them today is because of tokenmaxxing and poor model behavior. If it’s a lot, then the annualized revenues will diminish meaningfully even as token consumption inflects upwards. This is the big economic question at this layer.
5. Harnesses are where the action is and why I started @8090solutions two years ago. In a nutshell, the harness helps enterprises owns their proprietary context (what Alex Karp calls their ‘alpha’). This is an enterprise’s data, workflows, evals, and business rules. A harness that gives this to an enterprise is what creates very low model-agnostic switching costs, which further reinforces my views of #4 above.
6. Applications will be another long term winner along with harnesses. This is where the differentiation between “off the shelf” and “custom time and materials” melts away. Every company, with the right harness, can now imbue their alpha into the software that runs their company. I expect this to mean that “off the shelf” is largely replaced with custom software creating a huge opportunity to write these solutions for companies. Build once and sell repeatedly is a laggard GTM motion for a SaaS world that isn’t needed here. Think custom by design, alpha embedded, proprietary by nature.
Fin.
Good luck to all the players!
