Shri Awangbow Newmai
President, Naga People's Front (NPF-Manipur)
Three days ago, you called upon Smt. Nemcha Kipgen, Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister, to sensitize her community to be more humane and to uphold Christian values.
Today, three innocent Kuki-Zo civilians, including two unarmed women, were brutally murdered at point-blank range at Teikhang Village, IT Road, by cadres of the Tangkhul-led NSCN-IM and its affiliate, ZUF-Kamson.
In light of this tragic incident, may I respectfully urge you to come out of your silence and make a similar appeal to Shri Losii Dikho, Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister, as well.
I would be grateful if you could kindly convey to the NSCN-IM and ZUF-Kamson to refrain from targeting innocent civilians, including women, elders, and children. If they wish to assert their strength, let them engage man to man, rather than attacking the unarmed and defenceless.

The US Government has had special immigration provisions for Kuki people since 2016.
The reason I am sharing this now is because it completely dismantles the Meitei narrative about illegal immigration from Myanmar. If Kukis/Chins wanted to migrate for a better life, there are far better places in the world to go, like the US, where we already have the welcome of the US Government and where Kukis/Chins could easily make use of our Christian connections. The theory that Kuki/Chin people are somehow illegally migrating in huge numbers to a small, poor, and conflict-ridden place like “Manipur” for a better life is just stupid.
This document makes that narrative look even more ridiculous.
And I am sorry for those Manipuri Nagas who fell for this Meitei bullshit. You think you are so smart and politically wise, but the reality is that the Meiteis have been exploiting you and using Kuki-Naga divisions for their own interests.
You could get your “Nagalim” much more easily by working with the Kukis. Instead, your Meitei masters told you to turn against the Kukis, and that is exactly what you did.
You people think you are smart and wise, but remember our history. We Kukis were never conquered by the Meitei kings, whereas Tangkhuls and other Manipuri Naga tribes, such as the Kabuis, had already been conquered by Meitei kings. That is why you guys feature so prominently in Meitei historical literature.
Maybe it is time to ask yourselves who has actually been playing whom all these years.
The Kuki people will support a unified Nagaland. But we will not tolerate any stupid Naga agents of the Meiteis.
The Meiteis are our enemy, and anybody who works for the Meiteis against us will be treated as a political adversary, regardless of whether they are Manipuri Naga, Kuki, or anybody else.

Ex-CM N. Biren Singh’s audio has been carefully ignored.
So, what is the next excuse?
For years, questions surrounding the audio have remained unanswered while the matter continues to face delays and uncertainty.
How long will you keep carefully ignoring the truth?
If the audio has nothing to hide, why not allow a transparent, credible examination and let the facts speak for themselves?

🚨 JUSTICE AND ACCOUNTABILITY DEMANDED — MAYANGKHANG THANGAL VILLAGE
The Kuki Students’ Organisation (KSO) — Sadar Hills, in its Press Release dated 14 August 2026, has stated that it conducted a thorough investigation into the alleged criminal hijacking, physical harassment, looting and subsequent burning of a vehicle belonging to Mr. Lamitinchon Chongloi at Mayangkhang Thangal Village.
According to the KSO-Sadar Hills statement, the vehicle was returning from Taphou Kuki Village carrying essential commodities obtained through a Naga friend. These basic supplies were reportedly procured out of desperation after the Kuki-Zo people had endured nearly three months of an economic blockade.
The organisation alleges that, upon reaching Mayangkhang Village, the vehicle was intercepted by volunteers of the Naga People’s Organisation (NPO). The driver and occupants were allegedly forced out, physically harassed and deprived of their essential commodities. KSO-Sadar Hills further alleges that, despite assurances that the vehicle and their friend would be released the following day, the vehicle was subsequently set ablaze.
If established through a proper investigation, such acts against civilians carrying essential survival goods are extremely serious and demand immediate legal action.
We therefore strongly appeal to the Government of India, Government of Manipur, law-enforcement agencies and competent authorities to conduct an impartial, transparent and time-bound investigation, identify every person responsible, and ensure that the victims receive justice and appropriate compensation.
The leadership of the Naga People’s Organisation (NPO) should also address the allegations raised in the KSO statement and cooperate fully with any lawful investigation. Accountability must be determined through evidence and due process.
No civilian should be subjected to violence, intimidation, looting or destruction of property. Essential medicines, food and other basic necessities must never become instruments of collective punishment.
We demand:
🔴 A fair and independent investigation.
🔴 Identification and prosecution of those responsible, if the allegations are substantiated.
🔴 Full compensation for the destroyed vehicle and allegedly looted commodities.
🔴 Protection of civilians and their right to access essential goods.
🔴 Immediate measures to prevent further incidents and restore normal movement.
🔴 Accountability from every individual or organisation found responsible.
Justice must be based on evidence. Accountability must be equal. Human rights must be protected for everyone.

🇮🇳 WHAT DOES “HAPPY 80TH INDEPENDENCE DAY” MEAN WHEN MANIPUR IS STILL WAITING FOR JUSTICE?
As India celebrates its 80th Independence Day, the Kuki community continues to remember the immense suffering, displacement, destruction and insecurity it has faced amid the prolonged crisis in Manipur.
For the Kuki community, Independence Day must also be a reminder that freedom has meaning only when every citizen can live without fear, displacement, discrimination and violence.
The figures highlighted in the accompanying message—250+ deaths, 7,000+ homes destroyed, 360 churches affected or burnt, and 60,000 displaced persons—should be independently verified by competent authorities. But regardless of the final figures, the suffering of displaced families and victims cannot be ignored.
The Kuki community has repeatedly alleged that violence against it involved armed Meitei groups and elements of the state security apparatus, including allegations concerning Arambai Tenggol, Meitei Leepun, Myanmar-based Meitei militants, Manipur-based Meitei militants and state forces, particularly during the tenure of former Chief Minister N. Biren Singh.
These are grave allegations and must be established through independent investigation, credible evidence and due process. No individual or organisation should be declared guilty without evidence, but no serious allegation of violence, killing, arson or alleged state complicity should be ignored either.
We therefore appeal to the Government of India, Supreme Court of India and competent investigative authorities to ensure impartial investigations into killings, arson, displacement, destruction of homes and religious institutions, attacks on civilians and allegations of involvement or complicity by armed groups or state actors.
The victims deserve more than speeches.
The displaced deserve more than temporary relief.
Families who lost loved ones deserve truth and justice.
Every community in Manipur deserves security, dignity and equal protection under the Constitution.
Independence cannot be meaningful when citizens remain displaced, fearful and uncertain about their future.
On this Independence Day, our appeal is clear:
LET THE TRUTH BE INVESTIGATED.
LET THE VICTIMS BE HEARD.
LET THE EVIDENCE SPEAK.
LET THE LAW TAKE ITS COURSE.
LET EVERYONE FOUND RESPONSIBLE BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE, REGARDLESS OF COMMUNITY, ORGANISATION OR POLITICAL AFFILIATION.
LET DISPLACED FAMILIES RETURN HOME WITH DIGNITY, SAFETY AND SECURITY.
🇮🇳 India belongs to every citizen. Justice must belong to every victim.

🔴15/30 Days of Virtual Protest
India celebrate 80 years of independence.
But the Kuki-Zo people of Manipur are still asking:
Where is our freedom? Where is our security? Where is our justice?
Our people have lost lives, homes, villages and places of worship.
We do not want revenge.
We do not want endless violence.
We want to live peacefully, separately and securely from those with whom coexistence has broken down.
Is asking for peace too much?

We respectfully urge the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India to take immediate and decisive action regarding the alleged audio tapes attributed to former Chief Minister N. Biren Singh. The matter has raised serious public concerns and questions that cannot be ignored, delayed, or dismissed without a thorough, independent, and transparent forensic examination.
If the audio recordings are genuine, the truth must be established through due process of law and accountability must follow. If the recordings are fabricated or manipulated, that too must be conclusively determined through scientific forensic investigation. Justice requires facts, evidence, and impartial scrutiny—not uncertainty, delay, or silence.
Fourteen days into this virtual protest, the demand remains unchanged: let the evidence be examined, let the truth be tested, and let the judicial process proceed without obstruction. Public confidence in democratic institutions and the rule of law depends on transparency, fairness, and equal application of justice.
We appeal to the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India to ensure that all relevant evidence is preserved, independently verified, and examined in accordance with the law. The people deserve clarity, accountability, and justice. Truth should never be buried by delay, and justice should never be denied by inaction.
30 Days. One Demand. Let the Truth Be Tested.

🔴 Day 13/30
WHY THE DELAY?
N. Biren Singh’s audio issue has been carefully ignored for far too long. Instead of directly calling it “fake” or “AI-generated,” the issue is being described using terms like “manipulated,” “edited,” “cut,” “exported,” etc.
Why not invite Biren Singh to court and ask him directly about the audio?
Why has Biren Singh never publicly addressed the audio issue? If the audio was fake, manipulated, edited, or cut, why not explain it clearly?
Why doesn’t CM Yumnam Khemchand talk about it?
Why are Meitei MLAs, local leaders, media outlets, and news channels not discussing or debating the audio?
Could it be that some of them already recognize the voice as Biren Singh’s, and some may have even been present at the same events?
Don’t ignore the truth.

🔴 DAY 10/30 — THE QUESTION CANNOT BE SILENCED
Calling the N. Biren Singh audio “manipulated” is not the end of the matter. It is the beginning of a forensic question.
If it was manipulated, show the evidence.
Either way, the answer should come from verifiable evidence—not assumptions or political statements.

A serious allegation deserves more than silence.

Either way: VERIFY IT.
Let forensic evidence—not politics—speak.

Today you all are a witness to this. Had I not been the CM nobody would have allowed to use bombs against Kukis.
When Amit Shah (Union Home Minister) came to Manipur he said:
Amit Shah: “ey, Biren Ji”,
Biren: “haan Sir”,
Amit Shah: “arey tum bomb marta hai”?
(after which there was a gap of the usage of bombs)
Amit Shah: “bomb use mat karna hai”
Biren: I called the DG after he (Amit Shah) left and told him(DG)
“oye, chupke se karna, open se nahi karna hai”.

Saikul MLA Pi Kimneo Hangshing has issued a powerful condemnation on the barbaric attack on Kultuh Village, Kamjong.
Two respected community leaders — Shri Letminlun Haokip (34) and Shri Lunminthang Haokip (36) — were killed by armed militants in the early hours today. 😔
Such cowardly violence has no place in our society. We stand united for peace, justice & the safety of innocent civilians! ✊🕊️

While we celebrate the release of 14 Kuki hostages, tragedy struck again today — one more Kuki life was taken in Lasan Kuki Village, Manipur.
I sincerely urge our Manipur Naga brothers to cease hostilities and end this heartbreaking cycle of violence.
Enough is enough. Let peace prevail. #Manipur

🚨 Manipur Govt's shameful DOUBLE STANDARDS exposed!
When a goods convoy defying shutdown calls was attacked on May 29, Manipur Police immediately named & blamed "armed Kuki militants" in their official post.
But when NSCN-IM & ZUF-Kamson butchers slaughtered 3 innocent Kuki civilians (a couple + another) in Loibol Khullen village today, torched 7 homes — the CM's Press Release and Police stay completely SILENT on the perpetrators.
Only "unidentified gunmen" & weak generic condemnation. Why this blatant bias?
Why protect Meitei-Naga militants while demonizing Kukis at every opportunity?
Enough of this selective outrage and shielding!
Justice for Kuki victims NOW or admit you're openly favouring your favourites.
@manipur_police We know you are shameless but still, shame on you.
@KonthoujamG Did you enjoy your trip to Burma at Wanglee? Visiting that illegal trading center by encroaching on Burmese lands?
@YKhemchandSingh Enjoy while you still can.
Ruling a land and its citizens is not a privilege — it is a solemn responsibility. The most basic duty of any government is to ensure the safety and security of its people. When a government fails even this fundamental obligation, it forfeits the right to call itself a government
