@elonmusk@SpaceX Why do the center lines in the SpaceX logo not line up?
I've made a version where they do, and I think it's an improvement (I also think that having the P open on the left is pretty cool):
@JaysonKiing@Showori_ Streaming services are generally not screensharable/recordable on the PC itself anymore. So the legal way to do this is to put the DVD in your PC and stream your media player.
Of course, the internet also offers easier, free alternatives of uhhhh... let's say 'dubious' legality.
@ITittyDaFool@Mrdodobird As someone from Germany, I've heard some stories from my grandparents, and some more second-hand from my parents.
Their (and my) worries about the increasingly right wing nationalistic politics here that Elon is very supportive of, do kinda paint a rather bleak picture.
@goYsticks@rockfest@svd415 @toshiHQ And you probably want this done by people who can understand the original system, so COBOL programmers.
There isn't many of those left nowadays, so they're not cheap.
@goYsticks@rockfest@svd415 @toshiHQ Cause you might need to replace a bunch of hardware, rewrite every program with great care taken to account for all the edge cases, check all that new code to be free of problems, deploy it to every computer system that needs it...
Not sure if it'd be billions, but it'd be a lot.
@Landodafoxxo @Noxeykit This might depend on the animal but cats, and at least some dogs, have thumbs.
They're shorter and not opposable, but they are there.
@h0wzi@notch A basic smiley face for extended ASCII support.
Some more icons for compatibility with Japanese encoding standards for text messaging.
Once Google started putting emoji in phone keyboards, they wanted compatibility with the Japanese stuff.
And that's how we got here.
@whlsound@notch 1. It isn't as real as real life. It isn't where your vision is, it is a thought.
2. More complex scenes get hard. Like trying to keep an entire paragraph in your head at once.
3. I can 'see' the apple in my mind. It is red, but I can also make it other colors if I want to.
@BloodPawWolf@agathanonymous@vxunderground A polyfill is a little bit of javascript that pretends to be a feature that should be built into the browser.
You put it in your website so that it runs on old browsers that don't have whatever fancy new features your site is using.
@Edmond_J_@Brcremer I don't think it does, but the point isn't "make laws that enforce what the bible recommends" but rather "don't make laws that go against what the bible recommends"
(if you want your laws to be informed by the bible, that is)
