@rationalmnav@parkeralewis Terminal value matters.
By your same logic the bitcoin is worth nothing unless the company is liquidated and distributed to common.
@rationalmnav@parkeralewis Non control equity always trades at a discount to controlling equity.
Same concept.
Owning 1 bitcoin in a wallet that you control is more valuable than paper shares in a company representing 1 BTC that you donβt control.
Pretty simple.
@koda1338@litcapital@AOC@GovKathyHochul NY is next to the most productive gas play in the world. In fact parts of the Marcellus are in NY but the state banned fracking and restricted interstate pipelines
Overall, the Marcellus has take away constraints in search of a market.
Any energy shortage in NY is self imposed
@TenagliaTrading@pmarca You missed the point. All the red items are things that govt is involved in. Their meddling makes it more expensive. The blue items are free markets.
If you had to simplify it to one metric when deciding who to accept, select the ones who will decrease the deficit over the long run instead of those who will increase the deficit.
@Noahpinion It's fine to want lots very smart people to come to the US. It's more controversial to want to keep out all other immigrants. And it is a bit hypocritical to want to do this when you yourself would be among the people being kept out.
@paulg@Noahpinion If you had to simplify it to one metric when deciding who to accept, select the the ones who will decrease the deficit over those who will increase the deficit in the long run.
@denverbitcoin Iβm just confused. Eyeballing it compared to HH doesnβt look like net price was negative >60% of the time but could be wrong. And second part makes it sound like net price was negative 100% of time.
