In the E-Dialogue Series, Adolescent Champion Ms. Anupriya Kumari (Class 9) powerfully highlighted how 📢 food advertisements influence unhealthy choices among children and adolescents.
She emphasized the importance of 🏷️ reading food labels, making informed food choices, promoting 🥗 healthy lunch boxes in schools, and restricting the sale of 🚫 unhealthy foods near school premises. She also underscored the critical role families 👨👩👧👦 play in shaping lifelong healthy eating habits and called for greater awareness on the benefits of nutritious diets and the harmful effects of unhealthy foods.
Ms. Anupriya further stressed the value of 🌱 consuming locally available and seasonal foods to help prevent noncommunicable diseases such as diabetes and hypertension. Echoing the vision of the “Meri Thali Sehatwali” initiative launched by UNICEF India, she encouraged families and schools to work together towards building healthier food environments for children and adolescents.
