@WenzelCassidy The only way I really saw modeling was the teacher maybe showing how they solve a problem once on the board. No manipulative were ever used which I think would have been super helpful. I will definitely model, but I will model in multiple ways!

@KirNotKri @WenzelCassidy I was also not able to do this. I think letting them go is also a great idea and we also saw this idea proven through Lindsay in the classroom. She was given a problem and we saw that she just needed to do it her own way and have a little bit of time and she had fun!

@MissWis79991712 @WenzelCassidy I love your idea to let parents come observe! I think that this is such a good way for them to see first hand what their kids are doing. It also makes the parents feel fully welcomed and involved.

@SallyMc84272297 A25: I think that stressing fractions as wholes and parts is really helpful for children to understand fractions. If we start out by giving problems such as saying they have part of a cookie or part of a bag of candy and they can relate to it, that is super helpful #OsuElemMath

@mikusamouse SO TRUE! The process is so important. Even if the students aren't understanding it is so important that we make sure they feel the process was worth the effort.
