Three months ago after binge-watching @gregisenberg, I launched https://t.co/RPRY5AXoqM as an experiment. It was a domain that I had parked for over twenty years. Back in the day, it had a small business directory. But went dormant in about 2005.
When I started this experiment, the domain had an authority score less than 10.
No paid ads.
No backlink campaign.
No social media promotions.
Results so far:
• 11,000 pages indexed
• 165,000 Google impressions
• 786 organic clicks
The lesson so far:
Patience matters, content matters, and architecture matters. Search engines don’t just evaluate pages. They evaluate how information is organized, connected, and structured.
feels like a good time to seriously rethink how operating systems and user interfaces are designed
(also the internet; there should be a protocol that is equally usable by people and agents)
