This is quite possibly the best response I’ve heard to this question ever. Refreshing really. So much breadth and depth here. And plenty to cross-polinate over to when you’re interviewing/hiring staff members.
There's a lot of high school athletes, coaches, parents of young athletes, and athletic training staff that want sports nutrition information.
We will not only provide your program with sports nutrition education we can help your athletes take their health and performance to the next level.
Here's another sample 24 hour meal plan for a high school athlete.
✔️3-4 meals with a second breakfast
✔️Pre-training & post-training meal
✔️Hydration + healthy fats + antioxidants to reduce muscle soreness and exercise induced inflammation
✔️Yes, we teach high school athletes how to safely integrate a third party tested creatine monohydrate
We are not here for mediocrity we are here for greatness and that is what Nutrition with Wendi provides you when you partner with us.
"Nutrition is your secret weapon. What are you doing to out compete your competition? Nutrition can make a good athlete great or a great athlete good!" -@WendiIrlbeck4
Upperclassman-Your job is to be a leader! Help the younger guys! Your role is NOT, I repeat NOT to be the cool guy that makes the underclassman's lives miserable. Represent yourself, your parents, your coaches, and your program the RIGHT WAY!
ATHLETES: How do you respond to constructive criticism?
- Do you act?
- Do you learn?
- Do you grow?
- Do you listen?
- Do you blame?
- Do you shut down?
- Do you make excuses?
Be Coachable. Choose to Listen, Act, Learn, and Grow.

"This is a reminder I would provide to players. Over a week, not every day or meal is the same. Each day has a different goal." @James_Morehen

It’s winter. Many baseball coaches are training baseball players…
Rounding the bases = 360ft
Running a mile = 5,280ft
In game, this would require 14.6 trips around the bases nonstop
Use this tweet as a reminder of why that’s the dumbest thing you can do this off-season
"I want to play one sport all the time said no kid ever."
Play multiple sports. One sport compliments the other and develops all around skills over time. Different sports equals different movements, which trains the body in different ways, creating a more resilient athlete. Wrestling can help with blocking and tackling, pitching, and quarterbacking, Tennis can help baseball. Track can help football, basketball develops just about everything etc etc.
Nobody majors in math in middle school, and nobody should play one sport in middle school either. The goal of youth is to develop a wide foundation of skills to use to specialize later on.
We don't need kids peaking in little league...Play lots of sports!

Have you 3 minutes? Are you interested in coaching? If yes, some great insight from Steve Kerr. - As a player, Steve won 5 NBA championships, and has been the head coach for 4 NBA titles (2015, 2017, 2018, 2022)
Former UNC field hockey standout Erin Matson was named the youngest-ever HC in NCAA history at 23 years old just ONE month after graduating 🤯
In her 1st season as HC, she’s led her former Tar Heel teammates to a No. 1 ranking and ACC conference title.
WILD.

The word "yet" will completely change your life.
It's the key to a growth mindset:
"I'm not good enough" becomes "I'm not good enough...yet."
"I don't know how to do it" becomes "I don't know how to do it...yet."
"I'm not capable of that" becomes "I'm not capable of that...yet."
"Yet" is your one word reminder that you can achieve anything that you set your mind to. You are dynamic and capable of so much more than you realize.
Embrace the "yet" and change your life.
