@pahowho@WHO_Europe@WHOEMRO@WHOAFRO@WHOWPRO@WHOSEARO WHO is proposing a new strategy to eliminate #CervicalCancer as a public health problem. 1st steps:
🔹 increase HPV vaccination to 90%
🔹 ensure 70% of 👩🧕 are screened twice in their lives around the ages of 35 & 45
🔹 get appropriate treatment to 90% of 👩🧕 diagnosed by 2030
On #WorldCancerDay we think of those who've fought the battle with cancer. USAID is committed to advancing cervical cancer research, and helping women who lack access to prevention, screening, and treatment.

Two NEW modelling studies: Cervical cancer could be eliminated in countries worst affected by the disease, and 62 million women’s lives could be saved by 2120: 1) https://t.co/9AukbJUS52 2) https://t.co/7NkkIRo9FH
Encouraging predictions for impact of @WHO’s draft global strategy towards eliminating cervical cancer. Their model suggests that if 78 of world’s poorest countries rapidly deploy #HPV#vaccine it could prevent 62 million deaths in the next 100 years! https://t.co/YfQoTZCn3f
Con motivo del #DíaMundialContraElCáncer pacientes y sus familiares adornaron con listones naranja nuestro árbol de deseos; una manera simbólica de sumarse a éste día.
