Ode with Anthropic

Frontier AI, meets reality.

[Ode with Anthropic @OdeDevs]

Needless to say, Opus 5 has impressed the @OdeDevs

It feels purpose-built for Claude Tag: it can search thousands of pages at once, but deliver an answer that’s still "concise, smart, and to the point".

We’re excited to continue putting it to work and pushing what it can do.

"Opus 5 took a problem I’d worked on for years and immediately found a more elegant approach. Then, in the same conversation it combined expert-level linguistics and mathematics to produce a research-grade model of language development."
— Hugh, engineer

[Ode with Anthropic @OdeDevs]

"Opus 5 feels both proactive and compliant somehow. I asked it to skip a suggested fix - it did, but at the end pointed out where the fix could still have helped. On complex multi-directional problems, every sentence of output seems to be relevant and useful."
— Igor, engineer

[Ode with Anthropic @OdeDevs]

"Opus 5 seems like a nice daily driver for PM-related tasks - I've been using it to synthesize client transcripts into sections of a PRD. Would use over 4.8."
— Andy, product

[Ode with Anthropic @OdeDevs]

"First time I've read model-drafted follow-up emails and thought: I could basically send these as-is. Fewer AI-isms, and on deep research it shows receipts - quotes, links, the actual artifacts it read - instead of summarizing everything and losing the thread."
— Neil, commercial

[Ode with Anthropic @OdeDevs]

"I asked Opus 5 for a Datadog dashboard. The integration didn't exist, so it opened a browser and built the dashboard through the UI itself.

I'm already doing most of my work with it instead of Opus 4.8."
— Youssef, engineer

[Ode with Anthropic @OdeDevs]

"Claude Tag's check-ins using Opus 5 are finally brief enough that I could steer a long-running analysis kicked off Friday with brief touch-points from my phone - one day while making breakfast for my kids - so I was ready to go on Monday morning."
— Lauren, engineer

[Ode with Anthropic @OdeDevs]

"I put Opus 5 in a Slack thread with my Opus 4.8 agent to work the same CI failure.

Opus 5 found the real cause, at which point, the older model admitted:

'It out-diagnosed me — the fix is simpler and more correct than anything I proposed.'"
— Igor, engineer

[Ode with Anthropic @OdeDevs]

"I found it to be smarter than Opus 4.8 (sometimes as smart as Fable) and better to talk to than both."
— Hugh, engineer

[Ode with Anthropic @OdeDevs]

Claude Opus 5 is out today. Our engineers have been testing it across client work, code, design, PM, and writing - and Slack has been talkative.

Introducing Claude Opus 5.

It's a thoughtful and proactive model that comes close to the frontier intelligence of Fable 5 at half the price.

The market has a need for applied AI experience…and that’s an opportunity for generalists to join the limited ranks of those experts and prosper.

That’s one of the many bets fueling Ode by Anthropic, a joint venture we explored in the latest episode of our Equity podcast. Listen in right here: https://t.co/AJbJYWMQQr

Today we launched Ode with Anthropic. When we started Fractional AI, our thesis was simple: companies everywhere see the potential of AI, the challenge is making it real. Ode is that work at a much bigger scale, with Anthropic's frontier models and an extraordinary team behind it. Grateful to our partners at @AnthropicAI , @blackstone , and Hellman & Friedman, the consortium of global investors including Goldman Sachs, @generalatlantic, Leonard Green & Partners, @apolloglobal, GIC, and @sequoia, and everyone who believed in this vision who got us here.

We’re hiring quickly to keep up with overwhelming demand. Come build with us, and follow @OdeDevs for what's next.

Ode with Anthropic is live!

The gap between an AI demo and a production system is enormous: evals, edge cases, legacy integrations. Our team has lived in that gap for two years, and it's now the core of Ode.

Thank you to our partners at @AnthropicAI, Blackstone, and Hellman & Friedman, and the consortium of global investors including Goldman Sachs, General Atlantic, Leonard Green & Partners, Apollo Global Management, GIC, and Sequoia Capital.

We are just getting started.
