Should the government ban data centers? No. Should it subsidize them with your tax dollars? Also no.
Beacon recently filed a lawsuit on behalf of a cryptocurrency mining business after Hawkins County banned all data centers to prevent its business from opening. Regardless of how you feel about data centers, it’s wrong to ask the government to outright ban them. But the government shouldn’t tip the scales in favor of data centers or any type of business, for that matter, either.
Let the market decide, keep the courts open for legitimate property rights claims, and keep government out of the business of picking winners and losers.

@DouglasCarswell I wish I could say this was unbelievable but it’s actually par for the course. Weak kneed republicans putting their fear of the education establishment above what is best for their constituents. We will outlast them.
How has homeschooling become the fastest-growing education model? Families choose to homeschool for different reasons (wanting faith-based curriculum, accommodating their child's medical needs, or learning differences). The underlying reason is the same, these families want the freedom to customize their child's learning.

Most Americans obsess over Washington while the decisions shaping their daily lives happen much closer to home.
That’s why @spencerpratt's message about local leadership is resonating far beyond reality TV. As Ray Nothstine (@American_Habits) writes in the @dcexaminer, city leadership and federalism still matter deeply in American life.
