Sir,
Let’s forget Rahul Gandhi for a moment and talk about the ordinary citizens of this country who are facing the SIR challenge.
How undemocratic is it to make people suffer and put the entire onus on them to prove that they are genuine citizens of India? Many of us have been voting for decades. We have voter ID cards, our names have been on electoral rolls, and politicians have been elected on the basis of the votes we have cast. Yet today, we find ourselves standing in queues, pleading with authorities simply to retain our right to vote.
How is this not harassment? How can such a process be so burdensome for ordinary citizens? I cannot even imagine how much more difficult and distressing it must be for people from marginalised and vulnerable communities.
More than 20 BLOs have reportedly died amid the immense pressure associated with this exercise. Who is accountable for the human cost of this process?
There has always been criticism about the relationship between the ECI and the ruling establishment, but this time, the allegations and concerns have reached a point where ordinary citizens are bearing the consequences most directly.
At the end of the day, this should not be about Rahul Gandhi, the BJP, the Congress, or any political party. It should be about the fundamental right of every genuine citizen to vote without being subjected to unnecessary hardship, intimidation, or harassment.

@narendramodi Sir, The Resistance Front should be finished. The Pakistani Army generals who are the DNA of 22nd April killing in Pahalgam should be targeted.
