A few years ago, an error (however small) forced us to scan over numerous resources, making us learn things we wouldn't otherwise. This struggle built our cognitive skills.

Today, this experience makes us understand the problem domain better, leading to better prompts, better software, and fewer tokens (less back and forth).

This article by Anthropic (shared below) gives a nice perspective on aggressive use of AI in software engineering. Good or bad? It depends how one uses it. A little time set aside on learning will have a better payoff.

Reading about DeepSeek this week, I can't help but think about the story of Mesopotamia.
