Does anyone place external monitors in an inpatient setting as a patient is being discharged from their procedures or admissions? And are you able to bill for the hook up of the monitor?
In patients with symptomatic atrial fibrillation at high risk for CVA who cannot be/won't take anticoagulants, no LAAO, and symptoms are well controlled on antiarrhthmics, do you leave them on AAD or stop since no longer getting recommended stroke prophylaxis?
