Mission NS-38 Update: One of our crew members is no longer able to fly due to illness; he will join a future mission. Our new sixth crew member will be Dr. Laura Stiles, Blue Origin’s Director of New Shepard Launch Operations. The mission is still slated for Thursday, January 22, from Launch Site One.

Asked about the interaction of the Human Landing System version of Starship's plume during landing with the lunar regolith and how it could interact with Starship's elevator mechanics, NASA's Lori Glaze says they're learning more from the SCALPSS payload, which flew on IM-1, Blue Ghost 1 and the upcoming Blue Moon Mk.1 mission.
SpaceX is also required to perform an uncrewed landing and ascent demonstration with the HLS version of Starship prior to the Artemis 3 mission.

New Glenn safely reached its intended orbit during today's NG-1 mission, accomplishing our primary objective. The second stage is in its final orbit following two successful burns of the BE-3U engines. The Blue Ring Pathfinder is receiving data and performing well.
