@bdmarotta Relief for me. I only kept books that I really loved!! The ones I was on the fence about I got e-reader copies so they didnβt take physical space.
@LeRemedyy I hate to tel you all this, when a business person gets interviewed on TV for their opinion, guess what? Also paid for. Thatβs how the system works, itβs pay to play. 90% of βnewsβ is just PR in disguise
@_flying_V @jgarrett1983 @patefortworth Private school gives your kid a network of other wealthy kids as they grow up. If youβre already wealthy, you probably have that network elsewhere like the country club at school isnβt as important
@realEstateTrent Hard to find lawyers who know how to balance their incentive (collecting fees and managing risk) with actually getting the deal done.
Lawyers get paid even if the deal blows up
@REWoman@Fastmail for sure. They have an option to create a new alias for every login so if a company gets hacked they donβt have your real email. I love it and it integrates with 1Password
@montana_skeptic @elonmusk For me it seems the majority of the info is heavy propaganda in my opinion. No balanced opinions going on, everything is negative Russia. Very little mention of how NATO helped push Putin into this over the last 10 years. Iβd like to see both sides reported on
@BeauKilmer@DrugPolicyOrg What's even more annoying is that a huge portion of the negative social aspect of homelessness is caused by drug dealers exploiting addicts which can be solved by the government giving the drugs away for free and the public heath side can be addressed by reducing sharing needles
American communities could be as good as or better than any other place in the world when it comes to mobility optionsβwe just have to make that choice.
@DanPriceSeattle What do you think about a revenue based tax vs profit based tax like Washington state has? It could have a base limit to encourage small biz like 20-50m in rev gets taxed on profit. Then there are no loopholes to avoid taxes as itβs not based on profit.
@Desiree52516899@DanPriceSeattle A lot of companies off shore their profit to avoid tax. If they were taxed on revenue they wouldnβt have the option. Just make the threshold for revenue 20m or something so that small and medium business are unaffected. Then there is no expense loopholes
@michaelpatron0 Itβs always this way even for high level positions. At the bottom of any job description I put what to include as the first line of the cover letter or in the email subject line. Helps me filter out 95% of resumes without wasting my time as you know the person didnβt read.
