I have read on various platforms that folk that have significant delays and even cancellations aren’t getting anything back either due to Jet2 saying it’s an extraordinary circumstance. Every other airline seems to be paying out but not @jet2tweets

Furious to receive an email from @jet2tweets saying they will not be paying compensation for my 6+ delay in June due to being an extraordinary measure. Lack of staff at an airport and not having enough staff to crew your aeroplane is not an extreme measure! @MartinSLewis

@debbie1573 Little bit more difficult than just recruiting new staff. They all have to be security vetted and obtain passes which takes time. Some people can’t afford to wait that amount of time.

@mickotherebel @stu_bec @SkyNews Incorrect. If every officer was suspended for not correctly apprehending a suspect there wouldn’t be any officers left on the streets. Both officers will receive counselling if required and will be taken off the beat whilst an investigation takes place.

@silkywatcher @TUIUKPR @TUIUK @TUIGroup Arrive around when the check in desks open for your flight. No point in getting there super early because all you’ll do is queue unnecessarily. Follow security policy correctly and you’ll fly though there too. Oh and don’t listen to the media.

Just got back from A+E and the general public are not helping the massive strain on the NHS. Some lad next to me wanted antibiotics for a headache and another had a grazed knee and wanted morphine. No wonder people who actually need help are having to wait hours and hours! #joke
