Today, I had the privilege of meeting with Police Association of Ontario President Mark Baxter and officers from across the province, including from York Region, as part of their advocacy day at Queen’s Park.

It’s always a pleasure to welcome the @PoliceAssocON team to Queen’s Park!
Together, we share a commitment to making our communities - including schools - safe and supportive environments for everyone. Thank you to Ontario's Police Officers for your unwavering dedication to public safety.
Productive discussions at #PAOAdvocacyDay24 with @StanChoMPP and members from @SudburyPA2024, @YRPAca, and @OPPAssociation. Our members face increasing challenges—fewer resources, navigating PTSD, and heavier workloads. We’re here to ensure their voices are heard and solutions are prioritized.
Today’s $32M investment in #MentalHealth supports for first responders is a game-changer. This isn’t just funding—it’s a lifeline for those who risk it all to keep us safe. Proud to say that our advocacy has been heard and we're thankful for the leadership that @MPPKerzner and @MichaelTibollo have shown by prioritizing the mental health and well-being of our members.
Engaging with leaders to ensure member’s voices are heard. Great work on behalf of the SSPA Executive at the 2024 Advocacy Day at Queen’s Park. @PoliceAssocON

Last night, we held a local Memorial Run to Remember in honour of our fallen officers. South Simcoe Police members ran 4 km as a tribute to those killed in the line of duty. Thank you to Sudbury Police for joining us. A moment of silence was observed at Constable Devon Northrup Memorial Park, Alan Kuzmich Memorial Park, and at the South Division for Constable Morgan Russell.
This morning, South Simcoe Police members joined hundreds of participants at Queen’s Park to kick off the 460 km Canadian National Police and Peace Officers' Memorial Run to Remember from Toronto to Ottawa in advance of Sunday’s National Police and Peace Officers' Memorial Service. #R2R #HeroesInLife #NeverForget #MemorialRun
