@girdley I used phantom in my biz & it served us well. The biggest obstacle I faced is even if you call them “units” (which I did), any due diligence from employees turn up that this incentive is called phantom stock. Sounds sketchy to anyone not familiar with them. Education is huge.

One simple observation is smart people don’t always understand how m & a works. Announcing a deal versus closing a deal are 2 very different things. Before it closes, you ponder & plan. After it closes, you make your move.
I don’t know of any industry outside of residential contractors where the industry norm w clients + prospects is 1) don’t respond 2) don’t show up 3) show up at unscheduled & inconvenient times 4) don’t provide any project or billing updates. Seems like huge opp 4 entrepreneurs
