Stoked to see our paper out today in @NatureCancer! Epigenetic cell state, not genetic variegation, is the principal substrate for bottleneck selection during induction chemotherapy in childhood BCP-ALL. Check it out here https://t.co/gQT8ayGItX
@uclcancer
GOmeth and GOregion are gene set enrichment methods for DNA methylation data from @JovMaksimovic, @AliciaOshlack & @BelindaPhipson. It takes into account the fact that CpGs on chips are unevenly distributed between genes, &and some CpGs linked to >1 gene https://t.co/rkyVgAQhEu
So excited to announce our preprint “Epigenetic Patterns in a Complete Human Genome” where we generate the most complete human epigenome analysis to date and uncover novel insights into human centromere epigenetic regulation. A few highlights: https://t.co/oU7TGenprM
Our open letter about academic whistleblowers like
@MicrobiomDigest is mentioned in @guardian by @MelissaLDavey

Human immune systems can only be understood by studying diverse human populations. In @naturemethods we call for more inclusive human immunology research https://t.co/m8JVayXxBO
Wow, another amazing epigenetic clock study by Steve Horvath et al.
They find that methylation levels, set at birth, predict maximum lifespan in mammals. Genes proximal to methylation sites tend to be associated with development, metabolism.

Hope you had a good break & Happy 2021! We are back with more weekly webinars! The first one is by Stephan Beck UCL. Stephan will be speaking on "Connecting Dots for Genomics Medicine" next Tuesday, 12th of Jan at 16.30 GMT join us with the link👉 https://t.co/CbmwrgU7Fe pl share
Launching in January 2021 and now open for submissions, Nature Aging will publish research from across the basic biology of aging, geriatrics, and gerontology to the impact of aging on society. Visit us online to learn more, register for E-Alerts from launch, and submit research.
PGP-UK Health Assessment in support of COVID-19 related research.
A Big Thank to our participants who proved themselves again as valuable Citizen Scientists by taking part in the Assessment.

Finally had time to carefully read the new preprint that claims to reverse the age of rats by 54%. I spoke to the first author & in this thread ask whether the results are believable and what if it is true? https://t.co/Odcd24slwe 1/n
