Restate BYOC is already live in production with multiple customers, powering big workloads for AI agents and workflow backends. It has run loads of 100k durable actions/sec. And today we’re finally publicly announcing it.

We’re building the AI agent fleet to secure production environments. Our security agents continuously work on a live production knowledge graph that connects data from code, cloud services, containers, databases, and third-party providers.

Imagine high fidelity pictures of what you’re building, with a tracked history of changes at scale!

Our team spent years on the offensive side, breaking into cloud services, kernels, or cryptographic implementations, as well as building observability and security solutions for thousands of customers in production at Datadog.

Over the last few months, we’ve raised $22M, led by Accel and Y Combinator, assembled a stellar team in San Francisco and have been iterating with our first 45 design partners. It’s go time!

Fundamentally, we think traditional application software is going away.

Most of the SaaS you use today will be accessed through AI agents via API rather than directly. Any UI you need will get generated on the fly, purpose-built for the task at hand.

You won't adapt to someone else's interface — you'll describe what you need and get it instantly, connected to your real data.

2025 was the year of coding agents. 2026 is the year this extends to all knowledge work. Instant Apps is our first big step toward that future.

@yuris True, but the playbook doesn't have to be fully written - it's not hardcoded. 1st sales hire will run experiments and the sales process will evolve. Biggest mistake is to hire AEs from big companies who are great at executing a process, not building it.

@sarahcat21 As a salesperson I was always looking for internal (e.g. product usage) and external (e.g. technographics) data sources to enrich prospect lists, but I didn’t care if they were embedded in SFDC or just on a separate G doc.
