To all the live cell imaging folks out there - does anyone know of a commercial source of Rose chambers (pictured below)? Or a similar commercially available chamber for mounting a glass coverslip for long-term live imaging? Thanks for any suggestions!
Be sure to submit your late, breaking abstract by Friday, March 4 for the dmvCAPS Annual Meeting: https://t.co/QwCguScQK9
See you Monday, March 14 at GWU!
Postdoctoral position available: Do you know what makes the nuclear envelope expand? We don’t either, but we are trying to find out! We have an appealing approach (and preliminary data...) using budding yeast. If you like genetics and cell biology, DM or email [email protected]

A truly exciting program - all welcome! 👍👍👍
Hi yeast (and non yeast) people! The Bridging Research and Education Workshop (BREW), sponsored by @geneticsGSA is back on. If you are interested in using yeast in an undergraduate teaching lab, check it out https://t.co/CJVxCOj9zz. Please RT.

#RIP Sir Michael Berridge (1938-2020), pioneer in the field of calcium signaling.
He discovered IP3 as the second messenger that links events at the cell membrane to the release of calcium from internal stores. A central paradigm in signal transduction.

So sad to hear the passing of Prof Sir Michael Berridge FRS - discoverer of IP3 signalling. He was inspiring and always asking the most perceptive of questions. His legacy remains. Forever grateful for his support.

For this #FluorescenceFriday I would like to honor the memory of Roger Y. Tsien, who passed away 3 years ago on August 24. His legacy lives on in all who use the myriad of probes he developed, including calcium sensors and fluorescent proteins, and the acetoxymethyl (AM) ester.
Maybe someone already suggested this, but this tweet made me think that every scientific meeting/conference over the next year should organize an Eaton 5K. I don’t run myself, but I’d walk it at #ascbembo19. What say you @ASCBiology@GeneticsGSA?
