@citizenofzurich@davill@Defiantclient2 Two, for the original tower. Then there will be the extension for vertical stacking operations. No more transporter-erector.
@tslanerd@kalsjdhflkjsa@AmazonLeo Then that was a dumb way to put it. They have a rocket. Ariane 6. Vulcan according to Eric Berger is launching with the next batch in the coming weeks. If that goes well, they'll have two.
And they don't own New Glenn, that's Blue Origin's. They're two separate companies.
@SciGuySpace Isn't "Space Vehicle" (SV) the same designation for the biconic crew capsule they were working on for Commercial Crew CCdev 1 and 2 all the way back in the early 2010s?
@BSchulse@davill The TE was destroyed and couldn't be rebuilt/replaced in the limited timeframe for return to flight. The solution was to convert the access tower to service the GS2 while the launch mount gets modified to service the GS1.
LC-36B is designed from the get-go for vertical ops.
@BongBong@blueorigin@NASA NG-1 sent the Blue Ring prototype from LEO to very high MEO.
NG-2 sent ESCAPADE Blue and Gold to Earth escape velocity and both spacecraft went to L2.
Blue Ring is designed to be launcher agnostic. It can fly on any good-sized medium rocket and above, if need be.
@SrbhRn@CalGra@davill@NASA That would also be a lie. How much is "a lot"? You're probably dumb and confusing NG with Starship because both are big rockets and investment bros can't tell the difference.
@CalGra@davill@NASA This is a lie and more proof that dumb investment bros shouldn't comment on tech. There was only one sat being carried on NG-3, not multiple. ASTS signed on knowing that NG was in its early experimental test flight phase.
Blue Ring is also designed to be rocket agnostic.
@AlbaneseMikea@Erdayastronaut Funny you said that. Isn't this the 10th anniversary of the Falcon 9 static fire explosion? The one that not only took out a pad, but also the AMOS-6 satellite?
Busy weekend. Got this done too: Blue Ring #1 finished Open Panel Testing and is all buttoned up and moved on into CPT.
Seems like thereβs something missing, but I canβt put my finger on itβ¦
@_MaxQ_@davill It's kinda sad, Blue Origin has figured what went wrong, has a fix for it that can be retrofitted to existing BE-4s, and they've done it in a fraction of the time Northrop Grumman has for the GEM-63 XL nozzle problems.
@airandspace@NASAKennedy Fun fact, the landing was originally scheduled to touchdown at Edwards AFB in CA, but due to bad weather from Hurricane Darby, it had to be diverted to KSC. A rare instance of it. Atlantis was the first to divert from Edwards to KSC at the end of STS-38 in November 1990.
@nicksortor Oh, I'd disagree with that. He was a great success. He got the globalist/Marxist Great Replacement agenda pushed through just like they wanted him to.
@mattvanswol That $95,000 needs to come straight from the pocketbook of the principal not the school because the school gets taxpayer money and that's what they'll use to pay the lawsuit money with.
